Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink says that Ramires was allowed to move to Jiangsu Suning in a “beautiful transfer” as a reward for his services to the London club.
After leaving to move to China in a £25 million deal, the brazilian ended his 5-and-a-half year stay with Chelsea. Since signing from Benfica in the summer of 2010, he has won pretty much everything there is to win as a player and Hiddink sees his move as tribute to all of his “good performances”.
In today’s press conference, Guus Hiddink said:
“First we must pay tribute because he had very good performances in the past in this club with important contributions and he is 29 and having this huge offer from a club in China and the club talked about that (and decided they) would give him this (contract) what he can get in China.
“Also regarding his career in Chelsea, he was not playing frequently. He was playing but the club had the attitude and its to be rewarded to give him this beautiful transfer.”
