With the match against Thailand All Stars imminent, Eden Hazard spoke to Chelsea TV on the past week.
“We got the trophy at Stamford Bridge, and now we’re in Bangkok to see the fans,” he began.
Eden Hazard thought back to lifting the trophy: “I was like a kid when you get a new toy. I came here to win this trophy, we did it this season and it’s been a great season for all of us.”
“It’s the end of a fantastic season for me. I got a lot of trophies, it’s fantastic, I cannot describe,” the winner of multiple Player of the Year awards remarked. “I just want to say “thank you” [to the teams], because without them I am nothing. I cannot play alone. They give everything on the pitch.”
Chelsea have been met with adoring fans wherever they go. Hazard has enjoyed the experience: “The flight was long, but we know it’s for a good reason. We enjoy it here with the fans and finish the season in a good way.”
Hazard aims to entertain the fans, regardless of the humidity of Bangkok: “When you are outside on the pitch you give everything, it doesn’t matter the weather. We still have to give everything like we did the last game. The pitch is not bad, and we have to enjoy.”
When Hazard was asked if Chelsea could retain the title, he replied: “I hope – why not?”
Hazard would hope to carry the momentum from the past 7 days over into his other upcoming matches and into the season.
