Mark Bosnich has said that he still believes Manchester United can win the title, in an interview with talkSPORT.
The former United and Chelsea goalkeeper has said that the title race could be blown wide open, if United beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
The Blues are currently seven points clea at the top of the table with a game in hand. They are eight points ahead of third-placed United.
But, United have won their last six games and many view Saturday’s 17:30 clash as a key game in deciding who will lift the trophy at the end of the season.
“Chelsea are coming up against a Manchester United side playing their best football of the season,” the 43-year old told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast Show.
“It would really set a cat amongst the pigeons if Manchester United go to Stamford Bridge and win.”
Bosnich, played seven times for Chelsea and 33 times for United, as well as making 184 appearances at Aston Villa. Hewent on to say:
“Let’s not forget that season when Manchester City won the title with that extraordinary last minute strike from Sergio Aguero.
“Six games to go, they were eight points behind Manchester United and came back and won [the title] so stranger things can happen.”
