Former Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Bosnich believes that Costa’s behaviour during Sunday’s clash against Tottenham at White Hart Line predicts the beginning of the end for the striker at Chelsea.
The Spaniard refused to take part in the warm-up ahead of the Premier League game against the Spurs after being omitted from the Chelsea’s starting XI and later tossed his substitute’s bib at Mourinho.
Former Chelsea goalkeeper has no doubt that such behavior is unacceptable and heralds the beginning of the end of the Spaniard at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, Bosnich said:
“It didn’t look good. Generally when you are with a manager and you do that type of thing, it is the beginning of the end.”
“Not going out for the warm-up, I can understand that completely, but throwing the bib at the manager during the game points to one way.”
“They probably won’t do it immediately but I really do think it is the beginning of the end, which is really unfortunate because he has been a smash hit since he has been at Chelsea.”
