Chelsea centre back Gary Cahill has admitted that Jose Mourinho has every right to criticise the Blues for their disappointing performances.

Chelsea is currently 16th in the Premier League table and such a poor result is at least surprising for the title defenders. That is why, Chelsea ace has stated that Jose Mourinho has every right to criticise his players.

Cahill said:

”We were letting goals in and we’ve had a very disappointing start to the season”

“It’s something we all want to address. When I get criticised, I have a determination to try and put it right, work hard and not start sulking about it.”

“He (Mourinho) wasn’t happy with the way I was playing, along with a few others, and he has every right to let us know that.”

“It was yesterday morning that the boss told me and it will be a proud moment for me and my family,”

“They’ll be down, as they always are. It’ll be a special moment for them as well. I will approach the game like I would any game. I don’t want to change anything, but will play the same game and have the same mentality as if I was captain or not.”

“But it’s something I’m very proud about. It’ll be a special day and I want to enjoy it as much as I can.”
