Cahill: “Kenedy, Traore and Loftus-Cheek got bright future ahead”

Gary Cahill praises Chelsea youngsters after Kenedy and Traoré last performances and the fresh contract extension for Ruben Loftus-Cheek:

It’s a good chance to play them now because ever since I have been here, there have been so many massive games. I’m not saying just ‘throw youngsters in’ because you can. The main thing is if you’re good enough, you get time to play.”

“It’s down to the manager what he decides to do over the next few months but they are all young boys with bright futures. Kenedy showed fantastic individual brilliance for the first goal last night, Traoré did well too and Ruben has a new contract, which is a great move.”

“I have spoken highly of Ruben Loftus Cheek since I started training with him. He can be a big player. The three lads are heavily involved in the first team squad now. It’s pleasing and they’re there on merit because they’re good enough to play.”
