Thibault Courtois in undoubtedly one of the best goalkeepers in the world at the moment and he also is the number 1 keeper at Chelsea. Nevertheless, to become the best, he has had to adapt to training here , which is very different to la Liga in Spain. He said:

“The main difference between the two leagues, is the intensity of the game, corner kicks and crosses into the box. There is more pressure on you as a goalkeeper but I think I handle it well with the technique I have coming from crosses. It’s what I learned back in Belgium.”

“I claimed a lot of crosses this season but there is more aerial contact with strikers. I had to learn that in the beginning but I was aware of it and if you are aware of it in the beginning, you change the chip in your head and you know it will be like that.”
