Juan Cuadrado has no doubt that he will succeed at Chelsea and he is delighted at Mourinho management style.
The Colombian has so far seen his minutes on the pitch limited since his January switch to the bridge.
As part of the deal, Chelsea have sent Mohamed Salah to Fiorentina, and the Egyptian had excelled. He has found the net six times whilst Cuadrado has struggle for sufficient minutes, leading to some fans questioning the move.
However Cuadrado has urged doubters to be patient and give him time as he adapts to a new playing culture.
He said:”I am happy. I am adapting to the city, the game and the new teammates.
“After a change a player needs to be patient. I have just started. I need to work hard and when the chance arrives be ready for it.
“Mourinho has made a good impact me. He is an excellent person. With the media, during the interviews, he is a different person but with the players he is like a father.
“Yes he has asked me to defend more. He told me that besides attacking I need to mark the rivals but I am used to it. In Italy, Vincenzo Montella also told me that I had to defend, not just attack.”
