Eden Hazard has recently spoken with the L’Equipe magazine where he expressed his strong will to win Ballon d’Or one day. But according to his words the superhuman skills of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi can thwart his efforts.
Eden Hazard expressed his ambition to win one of the most wanted trophy among the footballers. He confirmed that as soon as he joined senior’s Lille team he thought only about winning the prestigious award.
“It’s always been my dream. When I arrived at Lille’s training camp, I told my mentor – Jean-Michel Vandamme – that I’d win the Ballon d’Or one day,”
“When I was little, that was all I ever thought about. The more I progress as a player, the more I tell myself that it’s possible.
However he seems to be aware that the Ronaldo’s and Messi supremacy might not be over soon.
“Unfortunately, there are two football aliens playing at the moment and it will be very tough to beat them. But that’s what I’m working for.”
The 24-year-old Belgian received PFA Player of the Year award this season. But it seems that, the more you have the more you want.
