Inter manager Luciano Spalletti spoke ahead friendly games against Bayern Munich and Chelsea in Singapore.
The Nerazzurri are going to play Ancelotti’s side tomorrow, 27 July, and the Blues on Saturday 29 before heading back to Italy.
First of all, the ex AS Roma coach revealed that no bids were placed for a Chelsea target:
“Candreva? There’s been no offer for him.
Then he spoke about his next rivals, both coached by Italian managers, Carlo Ancelotti and Antonio Conte.
“Bayern Munich and Chelsea both have no weaknesses and are strong, but I expect an Inter side that can aim to do well. These teams must be in our sights.”
Speaking after Bayern’s defeat Chelsea boss Conte praised Spalletti, claiming Inter appointed one the best managers available, making a very good deal to fulfill their ambitions to be back in the European clubs elite again:
“Conte’s praise? He’s strong and a winner, so I’m happy that he’s expressed certain ideas about me. There’s a mutual esteem, and I saw Chelsea play well against the Germans.
“Antonio is a coach in trend, he’s managed to win a title at Chelsea with three at the back, in a League where playing with four was almost a rule.”
