Juventus full back Stephan Lichtsteiner shared the dressing room with Chelsea star Eden Hazard at Lille in 2008, when the Belgian midfielder was just 17 and was a young talent that was trying to make his way onto the world stage. And now, seven years on, he stated that you could already see that Eden was going to become an outstanding player:
“Eden was there for my last year at Lille. In training you could just see that he was an incredible player, he had something that nobody else had,” he said speaking to the Indipendent.
The Swiss man then went on to speak about his current fellow-mate Paul Pogba, who has reportedly been a Chelsea transfer target for a while:
“It was the same with Pogba: he arrived at a club that was already winning and he worked hard, learning from Pirlo, Marchisio and Vidal.”
Asked if he had recognised the quality he could see in Hazard and Pogba in any other player, Lichtsteiner stated: “Players like this are not like fish in the sea, but Kingsley Coman has all the attributes to eventually be a very good striker.“
