The transfer window is over, and new adventures are starting for many players around Europe.
One of them is new Chelsea full-back Marcos Alonso, that left Fiorentina to move to Stamford Bridge.
This is the letter he shared on his Instagram and Facebook profilea to thank everyone who was with him in his Italian adventure:
It’s not easy to find the words to express my feelings in this moment. An unforgettable and wonderful adventure is over.
I spent some beautiful years in Florence and this the reason why I want to thank everyone that made this experience so special.
I thank the Viola fans foe the incredible affection they showed me since the very first day, for supporting me, also in the difficult moments.
I thank the kitmen, the fisios, the medical staff, the technical staff and all those people that with their work and passion make this club special. A true family!
I want to spend a special word for a great person, a great coach, Mr. Paulo Sousa, that taught me a lot, inside and outside the pitch, and with whom I hope to work again in the future.
I thank all my team-mates, fantastic guys with whom I shared a lot of emotions, good and bad moments, wins and defeats. Finally, I thank the club ACF Fiorentina to have believed in me, to let me grow up as a player and as a man.
Now a new professional challenge begins for me, but I will always be proud to have worn the Viola shirt.
I will always follow and support you!
Thanks from the bottom of my heart, Firenze!
Thanks from the bottom of my heart, ACF Fiorentina!
A big hug, Marcos
