Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has responded to critical comments toward him made by former England manager Fabio Capello.
Few days ago Capello has accused Mourinho of burning out his players after a year and a half, at most two years. And today Mourinho decided to hit back at criticism levelled by former Italian player. The Special One has recalled that Capello is the last person who should criticize him given his questionable success with teams of England and Russia.
Mourinho told La Gazzetta dello Sport:
“I read what Capello said,”
“I think a coach with his kind of past should be talking about football and not commenting on the work of colleagues.”
“I could have commented on his (Capello) job as coach for England or the Russian one, and I never did, because I prefer to respect the negative moments of my colleagues.”
“I like hearing about Fabio Capello in the many beautiful moments of his career, which has been full of extraordinary success.”
