Radamel Falcao will call time on his miserable career in England in January and return to Monaco in order to consider his future, according to reports in the English press.
Falcao joined Chelsea on loan in the summer from the Ligue 1 side after failing to impress at Manchester United last season- he scored just 4 goals in 26 matches for the Red Devils in a season long loan move and has done no better at Stamford Bridge this term.
The 29-year-old has struggled for games and form with his only goal coming in a 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace. He has been relegated to third in the striking pecking order behind first choice Diego Costa and France international Loic Remy.
Falcao was once the most sought after striker in Europe after winning numerous domestic and European honours with Porto and Atletico Madrid.
In 2013, having just won the Spanish Cup with Atletico, beating Real Madrid in the final in what was Jose Mourinho’s penultimate game at Santiago Bernabeu, it was expected that the he would join one of the continent’s biggest clubs, but surprisingly joined Monaco.
