Manchester United legend Paul Scholes, now a pundit at BT Sport, hailed Chelsea after their outstanding display against Everton, securing the fifth win in the last five games:
“That was brilliant. You have to say it was an exhibition at times, it was like they were playing a team 10 points adrift at the bottom of the league,” Scholes said after the game.
“Everton’s normally a decent team, they can play good football. We’ve seen them great in possession, usually – I think it was 60% possession for Chelsea and you don’t usually see that when you come here.
“It’s usually the other team who like to have possession and the counter attack, but they were great in possession and getting the ball back. The passing and the movement was sensational.”
