Former Chelsea and AC Milan striker Andriy Shevchenko believes that the age of John Terry in no way should be the subject of speculation about his departure from the club.
According to Shevchenko,Terry has much in common with Paolo Maldini, who played in AC Milan into his 40s and presented always a great form.
“When people ask me about players getting a little bit old, I tell them when I joined AC Milan, Paolo Maldini was 31 and when we did the speed tests, Paolo was one of the first, always.”
“He played into his 40s, and John Terry is a player like Maldini. He looks after himself and doesn’t have many injuries. On the pitch, he knows how to read the game. At his age, if he is 100 per cent fit, he can still perform well.”
