Spanish reports: Mourinho asked Abramovich not to replace him with Guardiola

According to the Spanish Don Balon, Jose Mourinho has asked Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich not to replace him with Pep Guardiola after being sacked.

Spanish reports claim that the Portuguese coach made Abramovich promise not to hire Pep Guardiola as his successor at Stamford Bridge. The last what he wanted Mourinho was to see Guardiola to take his place on Chelsea’s bench.

However, the reports in England claims that Guus Hiddink held talks with Roman Abramovich today and he is about to take over at Chelsea until the end of the season.

The veracity of Spanish report will soon be verified, since Guardiola announced convening a press conference over the weekend and to dispel doubts about his future. The Spaniard has revealed that Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, has already been informed about his decision but they will announce it on Saturday after Hannover’s game.

Guardiola said:

“Kalle knows absolutely everything,”

“The club, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and I have said time and time again that we will say something after our final game in Hannover, and that’s how things are going to stay.”

“I’m just focusing on Hannover. I’ve been watching their games.”
