Chelsea centre back Gary Cahill will captain the England national team during the Euro 2016 Qualifier against Estonia on Friday at Wembley.
According to the latest information, Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has been ruled out of England clash against Estonia due to an ankle injury.
An FA statement read:
“He has not trained fully since joining up with Roy Hodgson’s squad on Tuesday after picking up a knock for Manchester United at the weekend.”
This means that Chelsea player Gary Cahill who is the vice-captain in the national team will wear the captain armband and will try to lead the England national team to the victory on Friday night.
