Slaven Bilic is looking for a new goalkeeper and targeted Chelsea’s Asmir Begovic.

The West Ham manager already dropped Adrian after the Spanish keeper committed some silly errors and still not convinced by Darren Randolph.

The Croatian coach would like to bring the Blues player to East London already in January.

During the press conference to preview Watford’s game today, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was asked to comment Diego Costa‘s attitude on the pitch: the Spanish striker scored a late winner against West Ham last Monday also risked a red card after a dangerous challenge on Hammers’ goalkeeper Adrian:

“We all know Diego and he is a passionate footballer,” Conte explained

“Sometimes it seems he’s always on the edge when he plays but he’s a good guy and a good player.

“He puts his passion into football when he plays. I’m happy with his attitude and behaviour. We know he must pay attention in all situations because sometimes when many people talk about one player its difficult for him to play in a relaxed way as he knows he’s always at the centre of attention.”

Chelsea forward Diego Costa is never too far away from the media with things that happen on the pitch, good and bad.

On Monday night he was booked by referee Anthony Taylor for dissent in the opening 20 minutes of the game. Later, he made a late tackle on West Ham United keeper Adrian, which people could argue was a second bookable offence. Taylor did show some leniency towards the striker and he then went on to score the winner in the dying embers of the game.

The Spanish international has spoken to ESPN Brazil about how he feels he is targeted by the referees in the English Premier League and is treated completely different than other players.

“I am aware of [the new dissent law] now. The second time I went to talk to him, he showed me [the yellow card]. I even found it a bit weird, but then I understood. I went to apologise at half-time and that’s it.

“But I’ll be honest, I am targeted here, by the referees, the people… if I do something, it’s totally different than if any other players do. It needs to be seen, that people targeted me.

“It’s something I have to deal with and I ask God that these things don’t disturb me and don’t take the sequence of the games from me, which happens sometimes and gives me suspensions.”

After seeing Diego Costa’s tackle on their goalkeeper Adrian, West Ham captain Mark Noble claimed that the Chelsea striker should have been sent off:

“A couple of decisions went against us. It’s a yellow isn’t it? I’ve seen the tackle and he (Costa) wiped his (Adrian’s) ankle out completely,” the English midfielder said after the defeat his team suffered for a Costa’s late goal at Stamford Bridge last night.
