Journalist Ian McGarry told the DailyStar Juventus are asking a fee in the region of £73m for wing-back Alex Sandro, but Chelsea are not expected to be set for a massive signing.

“Chelsea’s pursuit of Alex Sandro has been long and tiring – he said – First of all they wanted Bonucci, who ended up at Milan”.

“You would have thought Chelsea could capitalise on some of the discontent and chaos at Juventus, and Alex Sandro might be someone they could get”.

“Juventus have been very resistant and what I’ve been told is Juventus would only consider any transfer of Alex Sandro starting at a price of £73m”.

Then he added: “Chelsea will not pay that amount of money for Alex Sandro, I’m sure of that. This is a red herring and going nowhere unless Juventus significantly reduce their asking price. Having lost Bonucci, they don’t want to lose another cornerstone of the team.”

Antonio Conte‘s biggest wish in this last transfer window month is to bring Juventus wing-back Alex Sandro to Stamford Bridge.

But the Italian manager transfer dream can be wiped out by Bianconeri’s coach Massimiliano Allegri, who restated that the ex FC Porto player is going nowhere:

“Alex Sandro is a Juve player. He is sensational and will not leave,” Allegri said after the friendly game against AS Roma played in the USA last night.

Chelsea were really keen on the full-back and were ready to place a £ 60m to secure his services – it was rumoured that Sandro already agreed personal terms with the Blues-  but it looks like Juventus will try everything to keep the Brazilian player.

Chelsea are in desperate need to sign a striker to replace Diego Costa, set for Atletico Madrid return after breaking up with manager Antonio Conte.

The Italian side already lost Dani Alves to Paris Saint-Germain and Leonardo Bonucci to rivals AC Milan, in an unexpected and incredible deal that was closed yesterday, and don’t want to lose another star during this summer, this is the reason why they are not so keen to let Alex Sandro sign for Chelsea as well.
