Diego Costa was asking to be substituted today after a stunning performance against Leicester City: with 20 minutes to go, Chelsea up 2-0 and in control of the game, the Spanish striker thought most of the work was done, so he wanted to avoid the risk to get a yellow card thay would have meant to miss the clash against Manchester United next Sunday, since he was booked.

Antonio Conte refused to change him, despite Costa shouted his anger and disappointment to him, and he explained why after the game:

If I can I retain Diego until the end of the game I will,” Conte explained after refusing to grant Costa’s request.

He must understand this. For the team he is a player with great personality and if i can maintain him to the end of every game I will.

“I know today we rsiked it. If he took a yellow card he misses the game against Man United.

“But for me today’s is the most important game than the other games.

“Now we  are beginning to think to the next game.”

Kevin de Bruyne moved to Wolfsburg from Chelsea in January 2014

Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke revealed that ex-Chelsea player Kevin de Bruyne could have moved to Jürgen Klopp’s side last year.

But in the end, the deal wasn’t sealed because the Blues were angry over Robert Lewandowski’s rejection of a move to Stamford Bridge.

Watzke admits he was hopeful Dortmund would be able to sign de Bruyne in 2014, but Chelsea were unwilling to do business after failing to sign Lewandowski. The Polish striker subsequently decided to join Bayern Munich.

“It [signing De Bruyne] would have fitted well into the planning,” he told Bild.

“But the conditions could not be agreed. Chelsea were unwilling to let him go because they were angry that Robert Lewandowski had not gone to Chelsea.”

De Bruyne eventually signed for Borussia’s Bundesliga rivals VFL Wolfsburg, where he’s had an impressive season, scoring 15 goals and getting 25 assists.

This excellent form has attracted the interest of many top clubs around Europe, including Manchester City, Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain.

Claude Callegari is a superfan of Arsenal and is very much looking forward to their match against Chelsea this week end. However, he doesn’t understand why the banner of Cesc Fabregas is still being displayed as he isn’t a gunner anymore and for some, the Spaniard is seen more as betrayer.

Fabregas signed for Chelsea last summer sparking so much anger amongst the Arsenal fans. It will be the first time he plays at the Emirates since he left for Barcelona four years ago.

Fabregas has never won the Premier League during his eight year spell as a gunner but insteas lifted the Capital one Cup with Chelsea this season and is withing touching distance of making the double by winning the Premier League should Chelsea get a result at the Emirates

Callegari who has become a sensation on TV and Internet for his rants, he has told the club to remove the banner of Fabregas and said:

“I want to know why that is still on the bridge. He kissed the Chelsea badge when they lifted the cup last month. Why is that still on our bridge?

“It’s a disgrace. Take that down.” added Callegari

The French International, Morgan Schneiderlin has described Cesc Fabregas as a “wind up merchant”.

Schneiderlin is currently on international duty with the French squad after being awarded a place by Didier Deschamps for a strong performance with his Southampton side this season.

However things haven’t turned out exactly the way he’s always wanted because he was sent off once this season and he blamed Cesc Fabregas for this.  He was red carded after a harsh tackle on the former Arsenal Captain, Cesc Fabregas and said:

“Once this year against Chelsea. I was angry with Cesc Fabregas because he wouldn’t stop talking, putting in small hits. It made me lose my composure and, in a move, I forgot that I already had a warning.”

Schneiderlin’s team will face Brazil tonight in Paris and will look to maintain their unbeaten run since the World Cup’s quarter final defeat against the Germans.
