According to various reports in Italy and England, in particular by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, Chelsea are trying to “beat” Manchester City in the race to sign SS Napoli midfielder Jorginho.

The player already has an agreement with Pep Guardiola‘s team, but the two clubs haven’t agreed a fee to complete the midfielder’s move to Etihad Stadium.

So now Chelsea are offering more money than Manchester City to sign Jorginho, a part of which, as it is understood, would also be used to pay the clause and free Maurizio Sarri from his contract with SS Napoli.

Moreover, midfielder Jean-Michael Seri has been reportedly spotted in London ahead of a potential move to Chelsea. And this could make a move for Jorginho more unlikely.

Chelsea have rejected an offer in the region of £50m for Willian from Barcelona, according to reports in the Daily Mail this morning.

With Maurizio Sarri edging ever closer to take the reins at Stamford Bridge, the Blues are reluctant to sell their best players even if a massive bid is received.

It is understood Barcelona are keeping tabs also on Mexican star Hirving Lozano and Chelsea target Aleksandr Golovin, who are both still involved at the Russian World Cup.

Also Manchester United and former Chelsea boss José Mourinho are said to be great admirers of the 29-year-old.

According to the French media Le 10 Sport,  new Arsenal manager Unai Emery has launched a bid to sign Chelsea‘s defender David Luiz.

It is claimed the Gunners have offered £17,6m, but the Blues have refused the proposal and it is now unclear if Arsenal will launch another bid for the Brasilian defender.

According to reports by the Daily Mail in the last few days Jim Ratcliffe, known as Britain’s richest man, has had a bid to buy Chelsea Football Club.

Current Blues’ owner Roman Abramovich turned down the bid as the Russian confirmed he is committed to Chelsea despite the difficulties which has emerged in the last few weeks and caused, for example, the suspension of the new Stamford Bridge‘s project.

Chelsea have been told they have to place a bid in the region of £20m if they want to sign Andy Carroll in January transfer window, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Antonio Conte has reportedly made the West Ham forward a top target as Alvaro Morata needs a back-up in attack.

Carroll himself is said to be eager to join the Premier League champions on a permanent basis, following his unsuccessful spell at Liverpool in 2011/12 campaign.

Chelsea are ready to make a late bid on current Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez, who is understood to have agreed personal terms with Manchester United for a move to Old Trafford yesterday.

Blues manager Antonio Conte has been critical of Chelsea’s lack of signings and is desperate to add more firepower to his squad, but fans are not convinced about the latest transfer talk.

Manchester United are believed to pay £20million to Arsenal plus a further £15million to Sanchez’s agent to get the deal across the line, with the Chile international enthusiastic to join Jose Mourinho’s side.

Chelsea have also asked about his terms and cannot be ruled out, although they are behind United currently.

The Blues are desperate to sign a striker and can’t agree a fee for Andy Carroll with West Ham.

Chelsea legend Marcel Desailly is not concerned about a potential Eden Hazard move out of the West London club.

With Real Madrid keeping to track the Belgian star and ready to place an unbelievable bid to sign him, Desailly reckons Chelsea would be prepared to face his departure:

“Even when Drogba left, one of the great players, the spirit of the club continued,” the former Blues captain told Goal.com.

“They continued to win. We will be sad if Hazard has to go but I am sure that Roman Abramovich is still passionate about the club. He will bring in another player that can allow the club to be at the same level again.”

Chelsea have joined Paris Saint Germain, Inter and Manchester United in the race for Serie A golden boy Pietro Pellegri.

The Genoa forward, only 16, is one of the new Serie A sensations, having scored already 3 goals in only 7 games with the first team ( and not always as a starter).

Genoa outlet Il Secolo XIX, claims the competition has got even stiffer as PSG have entered the race for Pellegri in the last days.

The French champions are reportedly scouting the Italian and they are preparing to swoop, even if Inter was ready to place a bid for him and another Genoa’s young talent, Eddy Salcedo ( who turned 16 last week).

Genoa, however, are hoping that Pellegri will opt to stay for at least two more years at the Rossoblu.

Reports claim Antonio Conte was furious with Chelsea board after failing to sign Fernando Llorente on transfer market deadline day because of a derisory bid to Swansea.

In fact, it seems the Blues directors only offered £ 5m to secure the Spanish striker services, but the Swans rejected the bid and preferred to sell Llorente to Spurs, who offered £ 11.5m.

Conte was really keen to sign the 32-year-old and it’s believed he was really upset after the deal was called off.

Llorente could have been a precious substitute of Alvaro Morata, who picked up a hamstring injury against Manchester City and will probably be out for the rest of the month.

Spurs are trying to hijack Fernando Llorente’s move to Chelsea, reports from Spain claim.

The Blues agreed a fee in the region of £ 8-10m with Swansea, but Tottenham apparently increased the offer in the past hours.

Everton are on the sidelines to monitor the Spanish forward situation as well, but the London sides appear to be the favourites to sign him.
