Chelsea legend Marcel Desailly is not concerned about a potential Eden Hazard move out of the West London club.

With Real Madrid keeping to track the Belgian star and ready to place an unbelievable bid to sign him, Desailly reckons Chelsea would be prepared to face his departure:

“Even when Drogba left, one of the great players, the spirit of the club continued,” the former Blues captain told Goal.com.

“They continued to win. We will be sad if Hazard has to go but I am sure that Roman Abramovich is still passionate about the club. He will bring in another player that can allow the club to be at the same level again.”

Chelsea have joined Paris Saint Germain, Inter and Manchester United in the race for Serie A golden boy Pietro Pellegri.

The Genoa forward, only 16, is one of the new Serie A sensations, having scored already 3 goals in only 7 games with the first team ( and not always as a starter).

Genoa outlet Il Secolo XIX, claims the competition has got even stiffer as PSG have entered the race for Pellegri in the last days.

The French champions are reportedly scouting the Italian and they are preparing to swoop, even if Inter was ready to place a bid for him and another Genoa’s young talent, Eddy Salcedo ( who turned 16 last week).

Genoa, however, are hoping that Pellegri will opt to stay for at least two more years at the Rossoblu.

Reports claim Antonio Conte was furious with Chelsea board after failing to sign Fernando Llorente on transfer market deadline day because of a derisory bid to Swansea.

In fact, it seems the Blues directors only offered £ 5m to secure the Spanish striker services, but the Swans rejected the bid and preferred to sell Llorente to Spurs, who offered £ 11.5m.

Conte was really keen to sign the 32-year-old and it’s believed he was really upset after the deal was called off.

Llorente could have been a precious substitute of Alvaro Morata, who picked up a hamstring injury against Manchester City and will probably be out for the rest of the month.

Spurs are trying to hijack Fernando Llorente’s move to Chelsea, reports from Spain claim.

The Blues agreed a fee in the region of £ 8-10m with Swansea, but Tottenham apparently increased the offer in the past hours.

Everton are on the sidelines to monitor the Spanish forward situation as well, but the London sides appear to be the favourites to sign him.

Chelsea and Alex Sandro: history is not over yet. According to Italian television Premium Sport the London club will make a final offer to sign the Juventus full-back for around £60m.

Chances Alex Sandro will move to Stamford Bridge are really few because, as the same Premium Sport report, Juventus don’t want to sell his player. In any case Chelsea wll make this last try and they hope to sing the Brazilian full-back.

New Chelsea midfielder Tiemoué Bakayoko reveals he didn’t regret choosing the Blues over Paris Saint Germain.

The French side is believed to have placed a bid to AS Monaco before Bakayoko moved to London but, eventually, they were beat by the club owned by Roman Abramovich, who secured the French international services for the next five years.

“Did they make a bid? I don’t know. But it’s hard not to be interested in a club like PSG, the new Chelsea player admitted.

“I opted for Chelsea, and I don’t regret my decision”.

The French international started 25 Ligue 1 games last season, scoring two goals and making one assist.

Before his €40 million move to Stamford Bridge the 24-year-old told France Football:

“I can’t leave Monaco to go to PSG.

“It’s impossible, because I’ve just finished champion ahead of Paris. I can’t leave for a club that has finished behind me.”

According to some reports LOSC Lille are ready to offer £36m for Michy Batshuay.

However, the Chelsea striker seems not interested in joining the Ligue 1 club as The Evening Standard claims.

Batshuay joined Chelsea last summer from Marseille and after a not very positive first season at Stamford Bridge, now he wants to fight for his place and for more opportunities to impress Antonio Conte.

Leicester have raised again their transfer fee request for Danny Drinkwater.

Chelsea placed a couple of bids to secure the services of the England international but both of them ( £ 18 and £ 30) were rejected.

The Foxes are demanding £ 40m to let the Blues sign the English midfielder, so now the West London side will have one more week to increase the offer, as this transfer window will close in eight days.

Leicester City boss Craig Shakespeare spoke out about the in-demand pair over the weekend, insisting:

“I’ve read the speculation the same as you but until we get the bids accepted, there’s no difference for me.

“We carry on with them. All the time we’re talking about the speculation. We’ll carry on as normal until I’m told otherwise.

“I’ve said that your worst fear is that an acceptable bid comes in, but if it does, we have to deal with it. Until it does, we have no decision to make.”

Drinkwater is keen to move to Stamford Bridge and he missed last weekend Leicester 2-0 win over Brighton, but this was due to a thigh injury.

However, the Foxes midfielder will complete the move only if Chelsea will satisfy Leicester latest fee request.

Chelsea are ready to place a second bid for Danny Drinkwater but the Blues are reluctant to offer more than £ 30m, as the Foxes are demanding.

The Stamford Bridge outfit made an offer believed to be in the region of £ 20m last week, but Leicester City rejected it.

According to Standard Sports, the English midfielder, who is close to full fitness after a minor thigh injury, is keen to make the move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is really keen to sign Drinkwater to revamp his midfield, that lost Nemanja Matic in favour of Manchester United and Ruben Loftus Cheek on loan to Crystal Palace.

Ahead of Chelsea's Premier League game vs Southampton tomorrow at Stamford Bridge, Antonio Conte admits he has not a lot of power on the club's decision over the January tranfer window. "It's right to...
