After a difficult first part of the season at Chelsea, Michy Batshuayi‘s performances were impressive during his loan at Borussia Dortmund.

The striker scored 10 goals and now he wants to earn a place in Belgium‘s squad before making his choice for next season between the two clubs:

I don’t have a preference; they’re two beautiful clubs. My focus is on the World Cup right now and I don’t want to think about what happens afterwards.” Batshuayi said.

What is for sure is that the Belgian striker during his loan in Bundesliga regained confidence in his skills:

Dortmund was a great experience for me,” Batshuayi explained. “They welcomed me very warmly. I was in a good environment and you could see that on the pitch. It was a while since I had played so much. I can’t remember being allowed to play two games in a row at Chelsea. It was good to gain confidence”.

Thomas Tuchel is the new PSG manager after putting the pen to paper on a two-year deal, the Ligue 1 champions have announced through their official Twitter account.

With Unai Emery also linked with a move to Arsenal, Tuchel gets a new job following his sacking at Borussia Dortmund in May 2017.

It is understood Paris Saint-Germain were keen to appoint current Chelsea manager Antonio Conte, who could leave Stamford Bridge at the end of current season, however the Italian boss definitely won’t travel to Paris.

SkySports reported this morning that Chelsea are also considering a move for Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino after the Spurs secured a spot in the next Champions League group stages.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte believes Borussia Dortmund striker Michy Batshuayi, who’s recently suffered a serious ankle injury in the Ruhr derby against Schalke 04, could be recovering soon.

He told journalists: “Usually if the players are on loan and they get a serious injury they come back and try to recover here with our medical department. Usually this happens”.

“I have no idea if he will play the World Cup. I hope for him to recover from this injury. I had this type of injury when I was a player during the European Cup, two months to recover well. I hope. He is a young, strong player and he can do this recovery in a short time”.

Borussia Dortmund manager Peter Stoger, speaking at a press conference following yesterday’s defeat to Schalke 04 in 152nd Ruhr derby, was asked to give an update on Michy Batshuayi‘s injury:

“I didn’t think it looked like the kind of injury that he would be back from quickly” the former Koln head coach said.

“I hope, of course, that I’m mistaken. I can’t yet say anything specific, other than the fact that he’s in pain and will now be examined in more detail. Hopefully it’s not as bad as it looks.”

Chelsea loanee Michy Batshuayi, who scored twice in the first-leg of Europa League clash against Atalanta last week, was in the squad who passed through the next stage following a vivid 1-1 in Italy. The Belgian international took to social medias just after the game to complain after alleged racist chanting from the stands.

Batshuayi wrote: “2018 and still racists monkey noises in the stands … really ?! hope you have fun watching the rest of EuropaLeague on TV while we are through #SayNoToRacism #GoWatchBlackPanther”. Atalanta’s president instantly apologized for home fans’ misconduct during the game.

Michy Batshuayi admits he was lacking confidence at Chelsea while now, at Borussia Dortmund, he plays full of it.

The Belgian striker arrived to Stamford Bridge in summer 2016 and despite playing an important role in last title campaign never had full trust by manager Antonio Conte, who rarely started him in the 18 months he coached him.

However, Batshuayi has been showing all his qualities since he moved on loan to Borussia Dortmund, where he has already scored 5 goals in only 3 games.

The 24-year-old forward took a swipe to his former boss, Conte, claiming he just needed more playing time:

“I don’t know if Conte was watching my game,” said Batshuayi.

“Sitting on the bench, score a goal and then back to the bench is quite difficult to deal with for an attacker.

“It wasn’t always easy at Chelsea. I’m now playing with a lot of confidence.

“They are focusing on the Premier League and have an important Champions League tie next week. I hope it turns out well for them.”

Michy Batshuayi was outstanding in Borussia Dortmund‘s 3-2 win over Cologne on Friday.

The Belgian, who joined the Bundesliga giants on loan from Chelsea on Wednesday, was named Man Of The Match as Borussia Dortmund moved into 2nd place in the league.

Olivier Giroud joined Chelsea replacing Batshuayi, who failed to make an impact at Stamford Bridge under Antonio Conte’s management, despite scoring 12 goals in the 2017/18 campaign with the Blues.
