New Bournemouth signing Nathan Ake was full of praise following the reunion with his former teammates.

The defensive midfielder, who spent last season on loan with the Cherries until January, told the club’s official website: “I had a great time here last season so I’m really happy to be back,”

“It’s an exciting challenge. Chelsea is a great club and I learned so much there but this is a new step and the right place for me to develop even more.

Then Ake added: “The fans haven’t seen the best of me yet. I always set the bar high so I know there is a lot of things I still have to work on. With the help of the manager here I know I can keep improving and become a better player.”

Bournemouth are still confident they can land Chelsea defender Nathan Ake this summer, according to SkySports.

The 22-year-old’s ownership, who spent last campaign on loan with the Cherries, is currently esteemed around £20m.

Bournemouth have already signed goalkeeper Asmir Begovic from Chelsea a few weeks ago.

Former Blues goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, now at Bournemouth, warns Chelsea over Diego Costa‘s exit:

“These players don’t come around very often, centre forwards who have got everything – pace, right foot, left foot, he can finish each and every way, he can hold the play up,” he told Sky Sports UK.

“He’s got the total package and is someone that Chelsea will miss very much if they lose him.”

“I hope this situation can resolve itself and they can have a good relationship going forward.”

Nathan Ake is uncertain about his future: the Dutch defender was called back from his loan to Bournemouth last January, but he has collected only three appearances with Chelsea first team ever since.

Now that the season is over, Ake wants to understand if there will be more playing time in Antonio Conte‘s mind for him for the next campaign.

Asked by his future by The Guardian, he replied:

“I know what you mean, because when I was 17, 18, 19, you are happy you are going to be involved, or be on the bench, or get some minutes.

“But I think at my age now, you want to play a little bit more, also because I had a taste of it.

“Of course you also know this is a big club, so there will be big players and it’s not easy to come into the team.

“I just need to see what is going to happen with Michael [Emenalo, the technical director] or the manager. We have to talk and see what is best.”

Ake is open to another loan move after admitting that “I haven’t deleted myself” from the WhatsApp group which was created for all 38 of the players who departed Chelsea on a temporary basis last summer.

“The main thing for me is to play games. Whether it is here, whether it is somewhere else, I don’t know yet.

“I need to see what Michael thinks. That’s what we need to discuss and see where we go from there.'”

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has confirmed that Nathan Ake is set to start in today’s semi-final against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.

With Gary Cahill ruled out of the clash following two nights in hospital, the Dutchman is said to be Conte’s first choice. Ake spent last mid-season on loan at Bournemouth before being recalled by the Italian manager.

“He deserves to have this chance to play because he has always shown me in all this period great commitment, – Conte said ahead of today’s game – He works very hard. His behaviours are great, fantastic. He never said nothing. Don’t forget he was playing every game with Bournemouth and he wanted to come and stay with us and try to work together and help us fight for the title”.

“He is a good player, he is ready to have this opportunity, this chance. He deserves this opportunity and I trust him. I have no problem taking this decision. In this system Ake has the right characteristics to be the substitute to Gary”.

Chelsea will host Southampton on 25th of April after facing Mauricio Pochettino’s men today.

“It’s not a simple situation. – Conte admitted - You have to play a semi-final in a big competition and then two-and-a-half days later we have to play against Southampton, who are rested for 10 days. You have to find the balance. In this case the work is above all tactical work, not physical work, because we have to play a lot of games in a few days”.

‘You must have a strong effort. You must have a plan in your mind and then make the best decision, but you only do that if you win! It’s a great moment for everyone: we have worked a lot to arrive at this point of the season, in a semi-final and fighting for the title”.

Then Conte ended: ‘We have to enjoy this moment, to be compact, to help each other, and to live it with joy.’

Antonio Conte warns his player before Manchester United clash at Old Trafford in this Easter Sunday.

Like in the past weekend Spurs will play first next fixture, adding to the pressure by potentially reducing the gap to just four points once again:

“Probably we can find the same situation this week, because Tottenham play at home against Bournemouth, but in England easy games don’t exist,” The Italian manager said.

“Bournemouth are a really good team, but if you compare these two games, we face United away and Tottenham will face Bournemouth at home, I think at this stage it is easier for Tottenham to think about points on the table.”

After the trip at Old Trafford Chelsea will face Tottenham in the FA Cup semifinal on 22 April, then they will host Southampton in the league three days later and will conclude the month with an away game in Liverpool, with Everton, on 30 April. A tough two weeks for Conte’s side:

“We have to think game by game and we know our schedule is not easy, but we want to play game by game and we will now prepare in the right way for United. I think we are having a good season, but we want it to become a great season.”

Conte also believes is important to control emotions against José Mourinho’s side:

“For us it is very important to always control our emotion because we are fighting to win the title and, for sure, this game will be tough, but we are ready to play it.”

“I think Manchester United will have good motivation because they are playing against Chelsea and Chelsea is on top of the table and every team wants to beat us.”

“It is important in every game to try to get three points and, for sure, we know this game will be very tough, but we are in good form, the players have the right confidence and we want to try to win, but in the same way that United will try to win.”

Eden Hazard reveals he knew he would have scored against Bournemouth.

The Belgian player claims that to become a top player you need to score against every team:

“You have teams that you know before the game that you can score, or that it’s your team,” said Hazard.

“I remember in France I always scored against the same teams, but if you want to be a top player, you have to score against every team.

“It was a good goal, I like to score against them. I scored two goals against them here last season.”

Marcos Alonso‘s stunning free-kick secured Chelsea 3-1 away win against Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium last time out, in a really tough game.

“We talked about going for the third goal at half-time, – the Spaniard told Chelsea’s official website - It was third time lucky [for me] after hitting the crossbar two other times. This time it went in and I’m very happy”.

Then his teammate Eden Hazard claimed the Blues ‘have to believe in everything’ as they are ‘one step closer to the title’ following another crucial win.
