After confirming that Maurizio Sarri will become new Chelsea boss following the last legal details to be discussed on his deal, Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis claimed that Jorginho is heading to Stamford Bridge as well, revealing the Italian international rejected an offer from Man City to join the Blues:

Jorginho in the Sarri deal? These are separate matters”

“I accepted Manchester City offer for him two weeks ago, but I will have to apologize with them: if the player prefers to live in London rather than in Manchester I can understand him, then if Chelsea proposes him better wages I can understand him even more and I cannot do anything”

“But Jorginho at Chelsea is not linked to the Sarri deal”

Daniele Rugani’s agent Davide Torchia has played down talk of a move to Chelsea this summer.

The Juventus defender has been linked with a move to the Premier League this summer amid links both to Arsenal and Chelsea.

“I know that nobody will believe me, but I met with Juventus sport director Paratici because it was already scheduled,” Torchia claimed.

“I didn’t know there was going to be this storm the day before. We talked about how to improve the player and what to do going forward, but we didn’t set up any negotiations.

“We can’t say for sure in life that the player is off the market completely, but we can confirm no formal offers have arrived.

“He is happy to be there and Juve are happy with him. It was purely a coincidence we had this meeting after those reports. I can assure you we did not talk about Chelsea.”

Rugani has made seven appearances for the Italian national team since making his debut in 2016.

MILAN, ITALY - OCTOBER 15: Mauro Emanuel Icardi of FC Internazionale Milano celebrates his third goal during the Serie A match between FC Internazionale and AC Milan at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on October 15, 2017 in Milan, Italy.

Chelsea are looking to improve their squad this summer after a disappointing season saw them finish fifth in the Premier League, failing to qualify for the next Champions League.

And one area the Blues will be particularly keen to strengthen is their attack with £ 80m new striker Alvaro Morata that partially fulfilled the expectations after a patchy season.

Spanish outlet Don Balon, known for their bold transfer claims, say the Blues have made an offer of £96m (€100m) for Serie A top-scorer Mauro Icardi.

It is believed the 25-year-old has got a £ 102m release clause, valid only for clubs outside the Serie A, that can be exert before July 15th.

Real Madrid have been linked with a move for the Inter striker after his stunning forms his season.

The Argentine, who was not selected for the World Cup in Russia due to his bad relationship with Leo Messi, netted 29 goals in just 34 Serie A matches to help Inter finish fourth and secure Champions League qualification.

Chelsea target Jorginho’s agent confirmed “Napoli and Manchester City continue to talk, but we’ll have to see if Carlo Ancelotti wants him or not.”

The midfielder is hot property on the transfer market this summer and has been given a €60m price-tag: the Italian international himself claimed a couple of weeks ago that former Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri was keen to bring him with him to London, should have he signed for Chelsea.

“Ancelotti was a real surprise, but football is dynamic and you turn over a new page quickly,”  the player’s agent, Joao Santos, told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“Today Jorginho is a Napoli player, he has not signed anything with anyone and Napoli have not negotiated a deal with anyone.

“However, Napoli and Manchester City continue to talk and discuss things calmly. We’ll see what happens in future.

“We’ll have to see if Ancelotti wants Jorginho or not, I don’t know what the situation is right now. The player is certainly appreciated by Pep Guardiola and many other coaches.

We’ll see what happens after the three Italy friendlies.”

If Maurizio Sarri were to take the Chelsea job, would Jorginho be more inclined to follow his former Napoli Coach?

“I don’t know about those negotiations. I can’t hypothesise a move along with Sarri to Chelsea because we don’t know yet whether that’ll happen or not.”

Antonio Conte spoke again about his future, dismissing all the recent talks that were linking him to Inter.

In the past days a football agent named Andrea Pastorello (that shares the same surname of the Italian coach agent, Federico Pastorello) said Conte was fine at Chelsea but could value offers from other clubs, especially if these clubs were historical clubs like Inter.

When asked about this, the Blues boss commented:

“I read this interview about Andrea Pastorello, not Federico Pastorello, I don’t know him and I don’t know why this person spoke for me, I stay here and this is the most important thing. I don’t like when another person speaks for me. I have two more years of contract with Chelsea”.

“I don’t know why they link me to Inter, for the media it’s normal to put me in this situation, maybe they want me back in Italy.”

According to Italian TV network Sport Mediaset both Chelsea and Manchester United are keen on AC Milan baby goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, that made his debut with Italy’s senior national team last week.

Donnarumma, 17, is considered Buffon’s heir and has already shown a great talent and confidence for his age: his agent Mino Raiola – the same of Pogba and Ibrahimovic – is considering a move for him in the next summer and Premier League clubs are already starting talks with him to secure the services of the Italian new prodigy.

Donnarumma is reportedly on a deal worth around £134,000-a-year at San Siro and Milan value him around € 60m/ £ 50m.

FELIPE ANDERSON
Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson was often linked to Chelsea in the past months

Lazio star Felipe Anderson was often linked to Chelsea in the past months, with José Mourinho even sending scouts to Italy to watch him.

Chelsea footballer Oscar knows him well, sharing the Brazil national team dressing room with him, and the Blues number 8 believes Anderson can develop well at Chelsea.

As mentioned in the Express, Oscar said: “He could really be useful here. We’ve played together at U20 level for Brazil and he was amazing. He can become even better and great players are always welcome at Chelsea”.

PAULO DYBALA
Paulo Dybala

Paulo Dybala’s agent, Gustavo Mascardi, revealed to Gazzetta dello Sport that Chelsea already placed a 28m £ bid for his player:

Paris St Germain have already come forward with an offer of about £32.4m and Chelsea had already reached £28.8m,” he said to the Italian newspaper

“We’re now at the stage where the price cannot be lower than €50m [£36m]. Paulo is in no hurry and will take his decision calmly”.

The Argentinian striker is now playing in Serie A for Palermo – that last year was playing in Serie B- and he already scored 13 goals and gave 10 assists in this season, giving the team a certain stability in the table and being one of the sensation of the Italian championship.
