Chelsea defender David Luiz is enjoying a massive start to the new Premier League season as the Blues earned 15 points from 5 games so far under Maurizio Sarri‘s management.

The Brazilian star, speaking after a comeback win against Cardiff City, told Chelsea’s official website: “I love his philosophy. It’s amazing. Before everything he is a great person, as a human he talks with us every single day, he enjoys what he does.

He is a guy who really loves football, and it’s always special to work with people like him”.

Sarri himself has confirmed he still believes Man City and Liverpool are favorites to lift the title at the end of the season. Also David Luiz had his say on it: “In the Premier League you have to think game by game. Chelsea is a big club which will always fight for titles. It doesn’t matter the name of the competition.

This year it’s a great opportunity for us if we continue in this way, but it’s too early. We have to keep our feet on the ground and work every day”.

Eden Hazard praised his team-mate Olivier Giroud after last Saturday’s brilliant game, where the Frenchman served up his first two goals on a plate:

“Olivier’s a target man, maybe the best in the world; I think so,” said the Belgian.

“When he gets the ball he can hold the ball and we can go in deep with him, so for us it’s a pleasure to play with him.

“When Alvaro (Morata) was playing it’s completely different, but they both have great qualities, so I’m happy to have good strikers in the team.

“The game [against Cardiff] was very tough. We knew, especially after the (international) break, it’s always very hard to play a good game because you are all a bit tired, but at the end we got three points. That’s what is important.

“I think, okay, we can play better, we should play better, but we scored four goals and it’s a good game for us.”

In the last Premier League clash Cardiff took a shock lead through defender Sol Bamba‘s tidy finish, as the visitors pulled off a smart training-ground move.

Hazard praised Chelsea for refusing to panic however, with the Blues hitting back quickly to carry a 2-1 lead into half-time.

“After 20 minutes the score was 1-0 for Cardiff, but we just kept playing our football and then, when we have the chance, we need to score, and that’s what we did.

“The manager just wants Chelsea to keep the ball, and then when we can find a solution, we need to find good passes between the lines, like Jorginho, (Mateo) Kovacic and (Cesc) Fabregas can do.

“So, we have a lot of good players, and at the moment we are in confidence, so we shoot, we score. We need to keep this momentum.

“We have a lot of freedom on the pitch, so when we are in this condition we just need to take the ball and try something, and at the moment something happens, so that is very good.

“When I’m on the pitch I’m just trying to create chances, score goals. A hat-trick comes with confidence, so I will try to do more of this.”

Chelsea are not concerned about about Mateo Kovacic’s fitness.

The Croatia international picked up an injury against Cardiff City and limped off five minutes into the second half at Stamford Bridge, where the Blues won 4-1.

But head coach Maurizio Sarri has been told by Chelsea’s medical team that the problem doesn’t seem serious.

Asked if he was concerned about Kovacic’s injury, the Italian coach said:

“No. I asked the doctor a few minutes ago and he said it’s not serious,” Sarri commented after the final whistle.

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri believes Eden Hazard “can score 40 goals” this campaign as he confirmed the Belgian star “is the best player in Europe” following his performances with the Blues in their convincing start to the season.

Sarri told journalists: “I thought he was one of the best players in Europe, but now I change my mind that he is the best. I think Hazard can improve more. I think that he can spend less energy than now at 50 or 60 metres to the oppositions goal”

“I think he can do it, he can do it. I told him in the last two days because Eden only arrived two days ago after the international teams I prefer to give the players one day off. I have spoke to him in the last two days, I told him for me he can score 40 goals. But spend less energy away from the goal and play in the last 25 metres”.

Chelsea get the upper hand in their Premier League clash against Cardiff City at Stamford Bridge after completing a massive turnaround with a hat-trick from Eden Hazard and Willian‘s fine shot in the 81st minute.

Maurizio Sarri‘s men conceded an early goal as Bamba put the ball beyond Kepa from a close range, before Olivier Giroud linked-up with Eden Hazard twice to put the Blues in front before halftime.

Blues’ latest signing Mateo Kovacic was forced off the pitch with an alleged leg injury (Ross Barkley replacing him), while Willian came off the bench with 30 minutes left to go, replacing Pedro.

The Brazilian star ensured Chelsea a penalty, which was converted into a goal from Eden Hazard, who’s now the fourth player to score more than one hat-trick in the club’s history. The Blues cruised to a 4-1 win after Willian put the ball past Etheridge with a curled effort.

Maurizio Sarri joins Carlo Ancelotti, Pep Guardiola and Craig Shakespeare in the list of the managers who managed to win their opening five games in Premier League.

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri spoke ahead of tomorrow’s Premier League clash between the Blues and newly-promoted side Cardiff City.

The Italian boss, speaking at a press conference, told journalists midfielder Cesc Fabregas could be sitting on the bench for the first time this season:

“The best news is that Fabregas is now very well” Sarri said.

“He has been training with the team during the week, so now he only has to improve his physical condition.

In a few days, one week, he will be ready to play. At the moment Fabregas is able to be on the bench. I want to speak to him. Maybe it’s better for him to have two days of training”.

About Emerson Palmieri, Davide Zappacosta and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Sarri added: “Yesterday there were some problems with a fever and sore throat for Emerson and Zappacosta, and a little problem after the match with the national team for Loftus-Cheek, with the right tibia.

I don’t know today the situation because I have to speak with the doctor. I don’t know if he’ll be able to play tomorrow. I have to see the last training session”.

Chelsea midfielder Kenedy, on loan at Newcastle United, has avoided retrospective action for his off-the-ball challenge on Cardiff City’s Victor Camarasa last Saturday.

The Brazilian winger appeared to kick out at the Spaniard but referee Craig Pawson didn’t show any card.

However, the referee awarded Cardiff a free kick, and as such the incident will not be referred to a disciplinary panel as it was dealt with at the time.

Kenedy had been recently facing a three-match ban for violent conduct, but the Brazilian will not be handed any further punishment.

The 22-year-old endured a poor individual display at the Cardiff City Stadium, failing to complete a single pass in the first half and then missing a penalty in the final minute of stoppage time.

Newcastle ended the game with 10 men, though, since Isaac Hayden was sent off for a challenge from behind on Josh Murphy in the middle of the second half.
