AC Milan CEO Marco Fassone confirms Diego Costa is a Rossoneri target.

The Italian club, that have been active in this transfer window, are looking for an experienced and prolific striker to revamp their attack.

Yesterday they met powerful football agent Jorge Mendes in Sardinia and speaking about possible deals for his players – they have already signed forward André Silva from FC Porto – they included Diego Costa in their talks.

After the meeting with the Portuguese agent Fassone claimed:

“Diego Costa is a great player, but he is a Chelsea player and I would prefer to avoid talking about players from other teams.

“We went to see Jorge Mendes; there is a lot you can talk to him about. Costa is a great player but he is of Chelsea. That’s all.”

Former Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay has been appointed by Reading in the same role.

The former Blues CEO – who replaced Peter Kenyon in 2009 and worked at Stamford Bridge until 2014- has a long experience in the football business, as he worked also for Manchester United and Umbro.

After signing his new contract for the Royals, he said:

“I look forward to working closely with all the staff who, through their dedication and commitment on a day-to-day basis, strive to make this club successful at every level.

“I am excited to be working alongside manager Jaap Stam and his coaching team, director of football Brian Tevreden and a very promising squad of players ahead of what I am sure will be another exhilarating campaign in the Sky Bet Championship.”

Juventus full-back Alex Sandro is soon set to sign for Chelsea, according to our exclusive sources.

Bianconeri CEO Beppe Marotta revealed that the Italian side rejected an offer believed to be in the region of £ 50m for the Brazilian player from Chelsea, but our source told us Blues boss Antonio Conte wants to sign him no matter what and that sooner or later he will sign for the Stamford Bridge side.

Marotta also claimed that Juventus are not intentioned to sell their best players, but this is probably a way to ask Chelsea to increase their offer for Conte’s first target to revamp his squad to chase Champions League, Alex Sandro.

Juventus CEO and general director Giuseppe Marotta confirmed his club rejected a huge Chelsea bid for their full back Alex Sandro.

In an interview to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, he revealed:

Our desire is to not sell any of our most important players.

“We said no to a very good offer from Chelsea for Alex Sandro.

“But we know that we are competing with clubs that are in a position to offer wages that are not rational for us. And players are always their own boss.

“I do not know how Alex Sandro reacted.”

The 26-year-old has a contract with Juventus until June 2020 and the offer from the Blues for the ex Porto player is believed to be in the region of £ 50m.

Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci has been linked with a move to Chelsea last summer and Antonio Conte is said to be a huge fan of the 29-year-old.

Anyway, Manchester City CEO Ferran Soriano, speaking after his side’s 4-0 defeat to Barcelona last night, told Spanish radio RAC 1: “At the moment, there are a lot of players that want to play under Pep.

“The Italian central defender Bonucci wanted to play for him [Guardiola] and he called us.

“So I called the Juventus sporting director [Fabio Paratici], and he told me they didn’t want to sell. End of story.”

AC Milan new CEO and sporting director, respectively Marco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli, both attended Chelsea clash against Leicester at Stamford Bridge yesterday.

They were pictured alongside Mario Pasalic‘s agent Federico Pastorello.

It is understood the Rossoneri are in search of a replacement for injured midfielder Riccardo Montolivo, who mill miss out at least six months following a knee injury.

While Pasalic could reportedly return to Stamford Bridge from his season-long loan earlier this season,  Milan are lining up a January move for Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas, who is struggling to break into Antonio Conte‘s starting XI so far.

AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has reaffirmed defender Alessio Romagnoli is “untransferable” despite Chelsea are keeping tabs on him.

It is understood the Rossoneri have rejected their second bid for their centre-back: the Blues placed a £30m offer, plus £4m of add-ons but the Serie A side claimed with a note on their official website that the defender is not for sale.

Anyway, Galliani told Mediaset Premium the defender is “untransferable” amid Chelsea interest.

Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta has revealed Chelsea winger Juan Manuel Cuadrado is edging closer to moving back to the Serie A side, where he spent last season on loan featuring 40 times under Massimiliano Allegri.

“Cuadrado is a player welcomed for various reasons – he told La Gazzetta dello Sport With us, he behaved well, our experience with him was extremely positive. It’s a question that will be resolved in the next couple of days max”.

“For now, he’s at Chelsea. If the club is open to it, well, we’ll start talking. A loan? I’d say yes, we’ll see.”

His agent Alessandro Lucci is reportedly traveling to London in order to seal an agreement with the Blues on a season-long £3.5m loan with an option to buy.

Anyway, new Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is said to be a huge fan of the 28-year-old and claimed last week: “He will come back very soon and train and play with us. He’s a Chelsea player and he’ll stay with us,”

Chelsea become the new owners of AFC Wimbledon`s ground, Kingsmeadow.

It’s understood that the club bought the stadium for a £4,000,000 fee.

Anyway the deal will not go through completely until the official seal of approval has been put on AFC Wimbledon`s development of a ‘new’ Plough Lane that will accommodate about 20,000 spectators.

AFC Wimbledon CEO, Erik Samuelson said about this:

“This is a major milestone for us. This deal is an essential part of the financing of the new stadium.”

Kingsmeadow is already used by Chelsea youth and ladies teams.
