AC Milan CEO Marco Fassone confirms Diego Costa is a Rossoneri target.

The Italian club, that have been active in this transfer window, are looking for an experienced and prolific striker to revamp their attack.

Yesterday they met powerful football agent Jorge Mendes in Sardinia and speaking about possible deals for his players – they have already signed forward André Silva from FC Porto – they included Diego Costa in their talks.

After the meeting with the Portuguese agent Fassone claimed:

“Diego Costa is a great player, but he is a Chelsea player and I would prefer to avoid talking about players from other teams.

“We went to see Jorge Mendes; there is a lot you can talk to him about. Costa is a great player but he is of Chelsea. That’s all.”

All Premier League‘s top clubs are spending heavily to improve the quality of their teams.

However, in this summer transfer window, Tottenham have just sold Kyle Walker to Manchester City without buying any top player.

So now Blues manager Antonio Conte questions the Spurs ambitions for next season: “My question is this: What are Tottenham’s expectations?” – Conte was quoted as saying by BBC – “Every team has to understand what their ambitions are. If their ambitions are to fight for the title or win the Champions League, you must buy expensive players. Otherwise you continue to stay in your level. It’s simple. If they don’t arrive in the Champions League, it’s not a tragedy. If they go out in the first round of the Champions League, it’s not a tragedy. If they go out after the first game that they play in the Europa League, it’s not a tragedy.”

Chelsea are being criticised this summer for selling a lot of their Academy’s players who have the potential to become football stars: between them, for example, Dominik Solanke and Bertrand Traoré.

However, defender Andreas Christensen, another of the players who played on loan last season, believes Chelsea and their youth system are working very well: “I’d like to think Chelsea’s academy helps yong players – Christensen told the Evening Standard -. Some people say that they just abandon you, that they don’t keep an eye on you, but that is definitely not true. “There is Eddie Newton and Paulo Ferreira doing a great job and they visited me quite a few times. They would also send me videos of my games, telling me where to improve. I always watched those videos, would take the advice on board and take it into the next game, even though sometimes I’d forget another thing. I got all the help I needed.”

Inter manager Luciano Spalletti spoke ahead friendly games against Bayern Munich and Chelsea in Singapore.

The Nerazzurri are going to play Ancelotti’s side tomorrow, 27 July, and the Blues on Saturday 29 before heading back to Italy.

First of all, the ex AS Roma coach revealed that no bids were placed for a Chelsea target:

“Candreva? There’s been no offer for him.

Then he spoke about his next rivals, both coached by Italian managers, Carlo Ancelotti and Antonio Conte.

Bayern Munich and Chelsea both have no weaknesses and are strong, but I expect an Inter side that can aim to do well. These teams must be in our sights.”

Speaking after Bayern’s defeat Chelsea boss Conte praised Spalletti, claiming Inter appointed one the best managers available, making a very good deal to fulfill their ambitions to be back in the European clubs elite again:

Conte’s praise? He’s strong and a winner, so I’m happy that he’s expressed certain ideas about me. There’s a mutual esteem, and I saw Chelsea play well against the Germans.

“Antonio is a coach in trend, he’s managed to win a title at Chelsea with three at the back, in a League where playing with four was almost a rule.”

Chelsea wing-back Victor Moses commented the 3-2 defeat against Bayern Munich the team suffered in a pre-season game in Singapore:

“It was the third game of the pre-season and we were a little bit flat first half. They scored three good goals but that is something we need to work on at the training ground, to make sure we correct that. We have good players who know what’s right and what’s wrong and we will get there, it was just one of those games.

“It was a slow start. This was a pre-season game and we must just get ourselves back fit again and keep on working hard in training. We played a very good side and it is something we have to work on and take on from there.”

“The fitness is definitely getting there because we have been working very hard in training and in the second half we did very well. It was a shame we lost 3-2 but it is pre-season and we will move on to the next game.

“With me playing my first 90 minutes, you do blow a bit but I needed that, and when the season starts that will help.”

Moses moved on the left wing in the last 30′ after Fikayo Tomori replaced Marcos Alonso:

“The manager told me to go left wing-back and I can play left-wing-back if needed, especially in a pre-season game. When I was a winger in the past I played on the right and on the left so it is not a problem.”

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois spoke after the Blues’ defeat to Bayern Munich in Singapore yesterday.

Both Marcos Alonso and Michy Batshuayi both scored but it was not enough as Carlo Ancelotti’s men were able to secure a 3-2 win thanks to Rafinha and Thomas Muller, who scored a brace in the 1st half.

Courtois told Chelsea’s official website: “We didn’t start so well, I think that the first five minutes were okay but after that, they took over the game and had a lot space to do what they wanted and we couldn’t find a solution for that”.

“After conceding those three goals, we recovered and defended better in the second half and they didn’t have the chances like the ones they created in the first half”.

“I think our second half was better and we have to keep that level for our next game and improve against Inter Milan and finish our pre-season well”.

Chelsea winger Kenedy was sent back home following the offensive comments made on social media about China during the Blues’ pre-season tour.

Moreover, we understand the FA wrote to both Kenedy and Chelsea as they are ready to open an investigation into his comments. The FA have requested an explanation from the 21-year-old about the two pictures with the caption: “F*** China” and “Wake up China, you idiot” posted on Instagram.

Antonio Conte said yesterday: “Unfortunately, it happened this situation, because we all know it is a pity. The player was sorry about this situation. It is a difficult situation, also for the club”.

“For this reason we make this decision for the player. The player understood his mistake, he is sorry for what happened. Now he must go home.”
