Former Manchester United‘s defender Rio Ferdinand didn’t like Tiemoue Bakayoko performance vs Liverpool on Saturday and he criticised the Blues midfielder.

Today, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte issued a response to Ferdinand during his press conference ahead of the game vs Swansea.

Don’t forget Bakayoko is a player very young. He’s only 22 years old,” – Conte said – “And for many reasons he played a lot of games. I think he needs to improve, under tactical aspect with us and to go into our idea of football. But, at the same time, for a young player to play with this regularity is not simple. He’s playing well. It’s normal you can alternate good performance with other performance less good. But I think he’s a young player, he’s working very well and I’m very happy for his commitment, for his behaviour. But, for sure, he has a lot of space for improvement.”

Chelsea will have a very busy schedule until the end of the year and so it’s very important to rotate the players and to make the best decisions for the team.

An idea that the Blues manager Antonio Conte stressed today during his press conference ahead of tomorrow’s Premier League game vs Swansea.

But why are you asking about Willian and not Hazard at the start of the season, and not Pedro the same? They have the same situation. Every game I have to make the best decision. I repeat: my players must be happy to stay in Chelsea and to play for Chelsea and to play for our fans. They must be happy. If they start the game, or if they stay on the bench and come on”. – Conte said –  “I think I have clever players to understand the situation and accept the situation. Hazard, at the start of the season, accepted the situation to stay on the bench before finding the right form. It’s the same for Pedro, for Willy, for other players. When you are in a great team, you have to accept this and, at the same time, you must be happy to stay in a great team.”

Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang has been recently excluded from Borussia Dortmund’s provisional squad for Stuttgart clash following his ill-discipline. Then he came back in action against Schalke 04 in the Revierderby, scoring once before he was shown a red card in the second half.

Also manager Peter Bosz, speaking following the dramatic 4-4 draw, added fuel to fire by saying: “you can’t do things like that” when asked on the dismissal of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

And Borussia Dortmund, as Daily Mail reported earlier this morning, has offered the Gabon international striker to Chelsea as the Premier League champions could place a bid when transfer market window reopens in January.

Few weeks after leaving Chelsea, now Michael Emenalo returns to football: the former Blues technical director has accepted a role as sporting director at Ligue 1’s side As Monaco.

This is a wonderful opportunity for me in a high quality project. AS Monaco has shown great progress for several seasons and I am convinced that the future will be just as ambitious”. – Emenalo told The Telegraph – “Vadim Vasilyev’s willingness to see me join AS Monaco was decisive and for me, the choice was natural after my decision to leave Chelsea. I will work here with humility and try my best to bring my experience in this club which is a reference of French and European football.”

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is worried about Manchester City, who are top of Premier League table with 37 points in 13 games, 11 more than Chelsea, third with 26: in between, Manchester United with 29.

Per Guardiola’s side invested more than £ 200m in the latest transfer market window and when Conte was asked about City’s financial muscle and commanding lead, he said:

“Manchester City’s path is incredible, no? City in this season is a strong team, also last season, City was a fantastic team.

“Then, after the transfer market, they bought their first targets and then they have improved a lot.

“They can do this also in January maybe, in the future.

“For this reason we must be worried because if we want to compete with Manchester City we have to work and then make the best decisions in the transfer market.”

Speaking about his team and the moves of Diego Costa to Atletico Madrid and  Nemanja Matic to Manchester United, the Italian boss said:

“I only ask for one thing: to have all my players available, because in our squad there are 16 senior players and I trust them.

“It will be very important to have them available and then to have rotation. Last season was very difficult for me to find the best way but then we had a fantastic season.

“Now, this season, there is another challenge. We lost a lot of good players compared to last season, we lost two important players but at the same time we bought young players. In this league, we started with the two favourite teams, the two Manchesters.

“Chelsea, like last season, wasn’t a favourite. Despite this, we want to fight, and I think we’re trying to build something important for the present but especially for the future. It’s important to be patient.”

Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville believes Premier League title race will be a two-horse race between the two Manchester clubs, who are leading the table at the moment, stating that Chelsea have no many hopes to challenge them:

“It definitely remain a Manchester duel for the title. At this moment in time, it is United who are closest to Man City but I don’t think Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal or Chelsea are right this season,” he said on the Gary Neville Podcast, as noted by Sky Sports.

“You have to retain hope if you’re Man Utd and think that something could happen in a couple of weeks’ time in that Manchester derby that could start a run of results that will put doubt in Man City’s mind,” the former Manchester United defender claimed.

Did he want to shoot? Or it was a cross? In the end, it doesn’t matter: what counts is that Willian scored the equaliser yesterday at Anfield vs Liverpool and gave Chelsea a point in the Premier League table.

After the game, the played had his say on the goal on Chelsea TV: “For sure, it was a shot, no doubt”.  – Willian said – “Some people ask, ‘You want to cross or you want to shoot?’ I said, ‘Shoot, of course. Too much quality’. I’m happy to score this beautiful goal. In this kind of game, it’s important to score goals”.

Antonio Conte explains his decision to bench Cesc Fabregas in crucial clash against Liverpool at Anfield last night:

“I think when you play every three days you need to rotate your players,” the Chelsea boss said to justify his choice.

“It’s hard to take some decisions, but every coach always try to take the best decision for the team. It’s important to rotate players otherwise players can be very tired.”

“Look at Cesc for example, he played every game from the beginning of the season and for this reason I took this decision.”

LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND - NOVEMBER 25: Jurgen Klopp, Manager of Liverpool speaks with referee Michael Oliver after the Premier League match between Liverpool and Chelsea at Anfield on November 25, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is angry at Michael Oliver as he claims the referee didn’t give him enough time to change his team’s shape to protect the lead after Mo Salah’s goal last night:

“I was angry because we wanted to change the system but the ref didn’t give us the opportunity,” the German manager told BT Sport.

“I don’t know what he thought in this moment, he told me something about taking too long, I don’t understand it.

“How can we take too long? We didn’t want to time waste, we wanted to change the system and that’s why I was angry.”

He added in his post-match press conference: “In my mind Ragnar Klavan would have been exactly in the position where Willian crossed the ball. Maybe we would have blocked the cross. So, it doesn’t feel too well when we couldn’t change the system.”

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte feels his side deserved more at Anfield last night and claims that Liverpool were lucky to get a 1-1 draw:

“We dominated the game and we created chances,” said the
Italian manager.

“Liverpool were lucky to score and then to draw.

“In our best moment we conceded the goal and were unlucky if you see the dynamic of the goal.

“But at the same time I am very happy to see a great reaction of my players, with the way they fight and don’t accept a bad result.”
