Chelsea will travel to Merseyside as Antonio Conte’s side are set to face Liverpool on Tuesday.

Jurgen Klopp recently struggled with good results and performances, after losing against both Swansea and Southampton in Premier League and Wolves in the F.A. Cup Fourth Round last week.

Anyway, Chelsea manager Conte is aware of Liverpool strength at home: “Whenever they play at Anfield Road it’s very difficult for other teams – the Italian manager told the club’s official website – I think we’ll have a great difficulty to face against them because when you arrive after three defeats they are very angry”.

“We know football. We know this type of situation and for sure we must pay great attention. After three defeats a team are very dangerous”.

Chelsea loss to Liverpool in September preempted the Blues’ unstoppable run, as Conte remarked: “After the game I said that Liverpool is already a team and Chelsea now is not a team, I think after four months, a lot of things have changed in my team”.

“We are growing and improving a lot. We have a good confidence. I think it will be more difficult for Liverpool if you compare the game at Stamford Bridge to now at Anfield”.

“To play a game as a footballer at Anfield Road is exciting, we must pay attention – it will be a great atmosphere, Liverpool is a really great team and I’m sure it is one of the teams that can fight until the end to win the title”.

Then Conte ended: “We have to play our football and we’ll try to play with good intensity, great attention and we’ll see what happens”.

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas spoke after his side’s 4-0 win against Brentford last time out.

When asked about Nathan Ake, his new teammate in midfield, the Spaniard said: “Ake is fantastic, since I have been here he has trained with the team in pre-season and I have always felt that he is a fantastic young player”.

“It is great that all of the young players showed what they can do in games like this and also winning which is important for getting the confidence because it is not easy”.

Ake was recalled after spending 6 months at Bournemouth. “We are only playing in the Premier League and the FA Cup so it is not easy to have minutes in this team – Fabregas added – But it was good that a lot of them could have minutes in this game and show the manager what can happen if he needs them”.

There were a lot of different faces for this game but a professional job. We did well, we gave it all and we are pleased”.

Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic came off the bench to score in the Blues’ FA Cup clash against Brentford

The Serbian star has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge recently, with Zenit St Petersburg and West Bromwich Albion reportedly interested in the 32-year-old.

Conte, who had already given his point o view about this situation, added:“First of all, I’m pleased for Iva. He scored a goal and that is always a great joy for a player.”

“In this situation it’s important to evaluate a lot of things, above all for the player. He hasn’t played a lot for us this season”.

“I know when a player has the habit to play every game and it happens that you’re not playing regularly, it’s not easy to accept this decision”.

“Iva knows the situation well. I’m pleased if he remains here with us, but in this situation the player must make the best decision for him and his family”.

Then the Italian manager ended: “I’m ready to accept any decision. He deserves great respect for his career at Chelsea. He has played a lot of games, he has won a lot, and we have to respect his decision”.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has declared goalkeeper Asmir Begovic ‘loves Chelsea, his teammates, the club’.

When asked about the former Stoke City star, who has been heavily linked with a move to Premier League side Bournemouth, he said: “It’s the same situation as for Iva [Branislav Ivanovic]. There are three days to finish this transfer window. The situation is very clear with Asmir”.

“Asmir is a really important player for me, a really good goalkeeper, important in the changing room. We are open to offer him the possibility to go in another team, but it’s important we have a substitution. We have some situations we are seeing, but we are not closer”.

The Conte added: “He loves Chelsea, his teammates, the club. We have a really good relationship and for sure it won’t be a problem.”

It is understood Bournemouth have a £9m bid rejected by Chelsea as Conte wants to find a backup in that position before letting Begovic leave in January transfer window.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte believes that Michy Batshuayi showed great commitment on the pitch against Brentford last time out.

The Italian manager, speaking at press conference, said: “To score a goal is always important for a player, above all a forward. His performance was good, I saw great commitment, he worked very hard for the team, for sure he is improving step by step”.

“He is increasing his knowledge about our idea of football, our philosophy. It’s important now he continues to work and shows us the right commitment and will to improve”.

Also Chelsea winger Pedro was unstoppable during the whole game: We are finding out a great player that can play in different positions. To see him as a wing-back is not usual, like Moses at the start of the season. It shows me he has great commitment, form and quality”.

Then Conte added: “Pedro plays very well as a wing-back or as a winger. Now I have a problem for Tuesday!”

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte spoke after his side’s 4-0 win to Championship side Brentford.

The Italian manager said: “It was a good result for us, when you win 4-0 it’s a good result, and when you score many goals and you don’t concede. In this case Asmir Begovic was very good, he made two good saves”.

“I must be pleased because when you change nine players you can see all the players, all the squad are totally involved in our idea of football, our project. That’s very important”.

Chelsea are set to face the FA Cup Fifth Round following their last home victory at Stamford Bridge.

“This competition until now has been an opportunity for me to put players in that are not playing a lot in this period for us. – Conte added – It was also very important to see the right reply of these players and it happened. I’m very happy”.

“We have to try to arrive at the end of the competition if we are able. If we win we will deserve this. We are ready to fight. We will see the draw – I hope to play the next game at home again”.

Conte started the game with an innovative lineup, as five players selected in the Starting XI were 23-year-old or younger.

He claimed: “Our young players are growing and it’s very important for the club. We only have the league and the FA Cup. The FA Cup is a good opportunity to see these young players and their improvement. I am satisfied with what I saw today. They are very important for the club”.

“If they deserve to play I am ready to put them in the team. I am not scared of young players. The only thing I ask is that they are ready to play”.
