Chelsea are losing 1-0 against Inter at half time in the friendly game that is underway in Singapore.

The Nerazzurri goal was scored by ex Manchester City forward Stevan Jovetic on the rebound of a controversial penalty caused by Cesar Azpilicueta, who fouled the same Montenegro international.

Chelsea suffered in the first minutes of the match, where Inter seemed fresher and conceded the goal in the best moment of their first half, when they were pushing to try to score.

Other 45′ now for the last clash of this Asian tour.

Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches has been targeted by Chelsea, according to Bundesliga giants’ CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

Bayern have confirmed that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte made an enquire to ponder a summer move for the highly-rated 19-year-old.

“There are at least 10 teams after Sanches, – Rummenigge told Gazzetta dello Sport – Conte asked for some information about him after Tuesday’s match because he knows he can make the difference in the middle of the pitch.

“The lad wants to play regularly but Ancelotti was pleased with his performance against Chelsea” he added.

“We’ll make our evaluations later but if he does leave then he almost certainly will go on loan. We’re still counting on him.”

It is understood AC Milan are interested in the Portuguese starlet, who joined Bayern Munich from Benfica last summer on a potential €80m move.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has confirmed that latest signing Tiemoue Bakayoko needs to improve under his management as “he still doesn’t know anything about my idea of football”.

“For sure – Conte told London Evening Standard journalist Simon Johnson – He needs a bit of time to adapt and to understand”.

“When you buy a player you need a bit of time to bring the player into your idea. It is the same now for Alvaro Morata and Antonio Rudiger. For sure if the player arrives as soon as possible, it’s easier for me.”

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is keeping tabs on both Everton star Ross Barkley and Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as he wants to land the duo to Stamford Bridge this summer, according to reports in SkySports.

The Blues are reportedly set to place a £50m bid to lure the pair from their Premier League teams, as Chelsea boss Conte “speak every day about the way to strengthen this team and the squad”.

Chelsea are keen on Bayern Munich young star Renato Sanches.

The Portuguese midfielder, 20, is willing to leave the club after failing to meet expectations in his first season in the Bundesliga side, asking for more playing time.

Sanches signed last summer in a £45m move but now he is on the brink to leave the German club.

Chelsea lost 3-2 to Bayern on Tuesday in Singapore and it was after this defeat that Blues boss Antonio Conte is understood to have spoken to the German champions’ high command about Sanches, the midfielder who gave N’golo Kante the runaround at the Singapore Sportshub.

AC Milan are leading the race to sign him, but the Italian club would like to sign the player on loan but Bayern want to sell him for a fee around £ 43m, as the Munich side CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed in the past days.

Speaking ahead the friendly game with Inter in Singapore, the Italian tactician revealed that the club and him are still working to do more signings before the transfer window shuts down in the end of August:

“With the club we speak every day about the way to strengthen this team and the squad,” said Conte, talking in Singapore.

“The club knows very well which is my idea and where are the positions to strengthen and if this is possible, it is ok. If not, we continue this way.”

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte gave an update on Eden Hazard and Tiemoue Bakayoko’s injuries.

Hazard broke his ankle while on international duty with Belgium, while Bakayoko is carrying a knee injury that has seen him miss the pre-season tour in China and Singapore.

Both players are set to miss the start of the season, as the Italian manager confirmed:

“It is difficult to say because arrive after a bad injury, after ankle surgery, it is not easy to programme the date to come back. We hope for them to recover very well. Their is recovering very well. You know the importance of these players.

“We will not rush them back as every player must be in the best of form to play, otherwise they are put in a bad position which could be damaging for the team.

“Bakayoko is in a similar position like Eden. For me it is very important to the players to understand my idea of football. For Bakayoko, for example, at the moment he doesn’t know anything about my idea of football.

For sure, he needs a bit of time to adapt and understand and this is the great difficulty for a coach that has an idea of football and wants to give an identity.

“When you take a player you need a bit of time to bring the player into your idea. It is the same now for Morata and for Rudiger. For sure, if the player arrives as soon as possible, it is easy for me.”

Speaking about rumours linking Hazard to Spanish giants like Real Madrid or Barcelona, Conte added:

“I don’t know anything about this situation. In the past I read a lot of stories about Hazard with Real Madrid. And now Barcelona. But this is the transfer market, we must understand this.

“Yes. He is very happy to stay with us and to play for Chelsea.”
