Former Everton star Kevin Kilbane has revealed he is confident new Chelsea signing N’Golo Kante could impress during his new experience at Stamford Bridge following his arrival on a £32m move from Leicester this summer.

The Irish 39-year-old told radio station Newstalk: “N’Golo Kante has been exceptional for Chelsea in the games that I have seen. He has just taken that form into this season again,”

“He covers so much ground, wins the ball back and keeps Chelsea ticking over.”

N’Golo Kante played all three Premier League games with the Blues at this time and and was shown a yellow card in the opener against West Ham at Stamford Bridge.

Paris Saint-Germain defender Thomas Meunier has revealed he is ‘surprised’ by David Luiz’s last minute move to Chelsea in a £30m move on the Deadline Day.

“Everybody was surprised, I think – the Belgium international told Sky Sports Nobody expected such a scenario; I didn’t expect that simply”.

“He probably wanted to try again at Chelsea, you know how attractive it is to play in England. Anyway, I wish him all the best.”

The 24-year-old joined the French giants this summer from Club Bruges.

AC Milan boss Vincenzo Montella looked satisfied after his team won 2-1 in a friendly game against Bournemouth yesterday.

The Rossoneri manager also had nice words for Chelsea loanee Mario Pasalic, that joined his team in the last days of the transfer window:

“Pasalic? He definitely has great potential and he did well considering he only just arrived and didn’t train a lot.

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher share his opinion about David Luiz‘s return to Chelsea:

“There is something about Luiz’s character that I like,” the ex England international said as Sky Sports pundit.

“I wouldn’t call him a leader as such but he is the kind of player who will make something happen or contribute a big moment. He is erratic but he has quality.

Conte’s reign has started without a blemish and now he has added cover to the one area of his squad that was most needed, I can only see them getting stronger. I just didn’t think it would happen with David Luiz.

“For a start, they have brought him back to England for a fee significantly less than the £50million they got from his sale to Paris Saint-Germain. At the same time, though, you have to ask why PSG were prepared to take an £18m hit after just two years.”

Chelsea internationals Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois received a host of boos following the 2-0 home loss to Spain under new head coach Roberto Martinez

Chelsea striker Diego Costa assisted David Silva, who scored a brace.

Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois claimed: “They booed, and that hurts, on the one hand, I understand them. We messed up the Euros and our first game back is very bad”.

“On the other, people need to know that we need them, especially against big teams.”

Chelsea starlet Eden Hazard said: “It’s a new era, it’s a shame, we were expecting a bit of support, even if it’s true we didn’t have a very good game, but we can’t forget everything that we’ve done in the past, we lived some good things together”.

“I hope they’ll be behind us for the next game. They’re the public; they want to see Belgium win. I understand them a bit, but it’s true it’s a shame.”

Tomas Kalas joined Fulham on a season-long loan from Chelsea this summer and manager Slavisa Jokanovic is confident the Czech defender could prove his qualities at the Craven Cottage this season.

“First of all Tomas has been very good at the beginning of the season – Jokanovic said – He has done an important job for us and I believe this is a good place for him to get the benefits of playing more games as it is not his first loan”.

Kalas is one of the 38 Chelsea players who are currently playing on loan and spent last season at Middlesbrough with 31 appearances under his former manager Aitor Karanka.

“Last season he didn’t play many games at Middlesbrough – Jokanovic claimed – and generally we are so close to Stamford Bridge here, so they can check easily if Tomas is a player can help at Chelsea in the future or not.”

Kalidou Koulibaly has confirmed he is happy at Napoli despite he has been heavily and repeatedly linked with a summer move to Chelsea in the transfer market window.

“I decided to stay because I feel good with this team” he told Il Mattino.

It is understood the Blues tried to sign the Senegalese and Napoli’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed he received a last £42m bid for the centre-back on the transfer deadline’s day.

Anyway, Koulibaly has denied to confirm he has been fined by Napoli after revealing his want to join Chelsea: “Many things have been written, but it’s not true – he said – I have a good feeling with Napoli management.”

Manchester City star Sergio Agüero received a three-games ban for violent conduct: he will miss next two Premier League clashes and one in EFL Cup

The decision follows an incident with West Ham United’s Winston Reid in Sunday afternoon’s match at the Etihad Stadium, when the Argentinian striker elbowed his rival in the face.

Aguero will now miss the Manchester derby on Saturday 10 September, as well as the home match with AFC Bournemouth and an EFL Cup trip to Swansea City on 20 September.

He would then be available for selection for City’s visit to the same stadium four days later.

The Citizens are currently top of the league with Chelsea and Manchester United, with 9 points, and lose an important player for their two upcoming games, not a bad news for the Blues fans.
