Chelsea boss Antonio Conte spoke after the 3-0 win against RZ Pellets WAC, the second pre-season friendly for the Blues.

The Italian coach was, of course, satisfied for the win but more than that for the progress his team shown in the game and was particularly impressed by the attitude of the players and by some youngsters.

“Today before the game I said to my players that I wanted to see improvements of our idea of football and I think that tonight I saw a good answer under this aspect, we must improve but we are at the beginning, we are working very hard.

“Today I saw a situation we can improve, but it’s normal, we’re in pre-season, we’re working, it’s important to win, to fight, for mentality… despite many players being tired for the preparation.

“I am happy also because I saw a good attitude and for me it’s the most important thing.

“Batshuayi is a young player, he’s got a huge potential, good technique, [he is]very fast. He is in the third day of training sessions and today I wanted to see him to understand some situations in the tactical aspect. But he is very young, with great talent, I am happy for him and for the other players. We’re working very hard to improve, and I know these players have the right attitude to improve.

“We know our targets on the market, the most important this is that between me and the club there is a great synergy on the this aspect.

“About Sam Allardyce close to be appointed as new England coach, he said: “I know Sam Allardyce, I visited him when he was West Ham manager, I am happy for him to become the new England coach, I can say that this kind of experience is fantastic because you are the coach of your country, you feel a great responsibilty, but it’s fantastic because you represent your country.

“WAC they are a good team, last year they finished 4th position, they play good football.

ChelseaNews24 asked to Conte which one of the youngsters impressed him the most in these last days, both in the training sessions and games:

“We got many good young players but Ruben Loftus-Cheek is the youngster that impressed me the most so far: I would like to play him as a forward because I was impressed by his skills, his personality, his physique, I guess he can become a great player. Also Chalobah and Ola Aina impressed me and I guess this means the academy is very good. In the future I would like to try other young players like Abraham and Solanke.

“I see that every manager has his own idea, in this system with two midfielders Ruben can play close to the forwards, but when we got the ball he’s got the charachteristics to play as pure forward and today he showed this. I think he can improve a lot.”

Then Atsu succeed in linking up with former Napoli midfielder Chalobah, who passed two defenders scoring and rising the final score just before the final whistle: 3-0 for Chelsea, Conte won his first game under his management.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is really keen to revamp Chelsea midfield after signing N’Golo Kante and now the target is set on two of Lazio and Italy’s players.

In fact, the Italian coach, wants to bring Antonio Candreva and Marco Parolo to Stamford Bridge.

Candreva is set to leave the Biancocelesti, a decision taken already before the euros and confirmed by his agent, Federico Pastorello:

“Antonio has realised it’s time for a new challenge.

“Fans shouldn’t be upset or angry, it’s part of the logic that brings clubs and players together, and then clubs take decisions to go their separate ways.”

The Italian winger has been targeted also by Inter and Napoli but Lazio chairman Claudio Lotito’s € 25m ( £18m) request was considered exaggerate for a 30-years-old player the missed half of EURO 2016 tournament for an injury.

Paul Pogba and Manchester United are really close to seal one of the deals of the century.

The ex Red Devils Academy player will move back to Old Trafford soon, as United directors are discussing with Juventus board before placing a bid.

The “issue” is just on the fee: the Bianconeri ask € 120m ( £ 100m) for the French midfielder, but Woodward and his club want to place a € 101m offer, around £ 85m.

The English club is ready to put some add-ons for the future, but Juventus want the whole sum now to try to sign Napoli star Gonzalo Higuain, paying his € 95m ( £ 80m) buy-out-clause.

Man United already set personal terms with the player, that will have a £ 11m annual salary ( € 13m) and will also earn a 20% on this transfer with his agent Mino Raiola, so in case of a £85m Juventus will keep “just” £ 68m ( € 80m).

It’s no mistery new Red Devils boss José Mourinho is a big fan of Pogba and will try everything to sign him.

The French midfielder has been a Chelsea target for a couple of years and the Portuguese manager tried  to bring him to Stamford Bridge last year, offering € 40m ( £ 33m) plus Oscar, but the deal was called off at the last minute.

Chelsea‘s second choice goalkeeper, Asmir Begovic, has his future in doubt at Stamford Bridge after the Blues make a move to sign experienced AC Milan shot stopper Diego Lopez.

Begovic joined Chelsea from Stoke City just 12 months ago but has only made 21 appearances for the club and the majority of those were when no. 1 keeper, Thibaut Courtois, was out injured for 3-months with a knee problem.

It is thought that Courtois will remain as Chelsea‘s first choice, despite strong interest from Real Madrid but Begovic could be forced out, if the deal for Lopez goes through.
