Chelsea manager Antonio Conte spoke after the Blues’ away win against Watford at Vicarage Road today thanks to Michy Batshuayi‘s equalizer and Diego Costa‘s late goal.

He told BBC Sport: “I’m pleased for the substitutes that came off the bench. They showed great attitude and commitment with Cesc Fabregas and Michy Batshuayi making a real impact,”

“We all know Cesc’s quality, he’s a great player but it’s important to understand that we are at the beginning of the season and I am looking for the right balance.”

Match winner Diego Costa was shown yellow card again by referee Jon Moss and Conte claimed: “I don’t accept this because if every game people find something on Diego it is no good for Chelsea,”

“It’s better to focus on the game. For me, the first yellow is no good for me. I don’t accept the idea for a second yellow card for a dive but he does have to avoid the first.”

Two games, two late wins gives by Diego Costa, 6 points and a +2 goal difference that give them the fourth place in the table.

After a first half poor of emotions and chances, Watford took the lead at minute 55 with a goal by Etienne Capoue.

Chelsea, however, was always in control of the game and the hard work paid at minute 80 when Michy Batshuayi, entered 7 minutes before to replace Oscar, picked up a loose ball and equalised.

After seven minutes, Diego Costa scored another late winner after the one of last Monday night against West Ham, and gave other three points to Chelsea: Cesc Fabregas provided the assist.

Another crazy celebration for Antonio Conte, and another self confidence and enthusiasm injection for Chelsea.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman wrote in Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf that his striker Romelu Lukaku is set to stay at the Goodison Park this summer, amid Chelsea interest.

Former BarcelonaAjax and PSV defender wrote: “Ten days before the transfer deadline he came into the manager’s office and said he was no longer leaving and had decide to stay at Everton,”

“His decision is the same value as a big money transfer. He is not only a good player but a fine person. He lives his football in the fashion that you would want a top footballer to.”

Then Koeman added: “It is great to work with him and I think he had seen that we want to engineer improvement at every corner. To develop him into a really top player is the challenge before me.”

It is understood Chelsea were reportedly keen on offering Everton a cash-plus-player final bid to sign the 23-year-old and were reportedly set to propose Loic Remy plus around £60m.

The 53-year-old had recently admitted: “He is still an Everton player but finally the board makes those kind of decisions,”

“Of course, I would like to keep all my best players but I know football. I know business. Let’s wait, the club is doing everything to keep all the players we’d like to keep in the team.”

Chelsea have entered talks with Real Madrid to sign star James Rodriguez, according to Spanish publication Sport.

Anyway, La Liga giants’ president Florentino Perez is reportedly not considering to let the Colombian leave this summer despite the attacking-midfielder is expected to be eager to move away from the Santiago Bernabeu after failing to break into the starting lineup.

The Spanish newspaper suggests Chelsea would be ready to spend around £78m for him and have already met with his agent to show up their interest.

Chelsea are ready to place an insane bid for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, but it seems Napoli won’t listen to any offer, since they want to keep the centre-back.

The club are going to renew his deal next week, with a contract expiring in 2021.

The defender will earn €2m per season, plus add-ons.

Chelsea are going to insist to sign him, but Napoli wants to keep him.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte admitted the club has to sign players to improve the squad before the transfer window closes in ten days:

“It’s very difficult to speak about the transfer policy before the game. It’s important to speak about the players with the club at the right moment.

“I repeat, we are waiting for the right solution to improve Chelsea. We need to sign some players, we are working together.

“I think now is very difficult to put a real target for the squad. We are starting after a bad season, the players are the same [as last season].”

Chelsea main target is a centre-back to improve the defence, but after Napoli rejected three bids for their star Koulibaly is not easy for the Blues to find another good defender and close a deal in ten days.

Chelsea star Willian released an interview with the club official website ahead of the match against Watford today.

The Brazilian winger firstly reflected on the win against West Ham in the Premier League opener:

“It was a good team performance and we deserved to win the game.

“We played very well and from the beginning of the game we put them under pressure and tried to score goals so it was good for us.”

Then he spoke about today’s game:

“Pre-season was very hard, we did double sessions every day but I feel good now. It was only the first game so everybody will improve, that’s natural, but I feel fresh and I’m ready for Watford.

“We have to do what we did in the game on Monday which was defend very well as a team. I think they were a little bit lucky with their goal but we reacted well and scored the second.

“We have to improve both defensively and in attack with every game but we were pleased with our defensive performance against West Ham.”

Willian also spoke about what changed with the new manager Antonio Conte:

“Some things have changed on the pitch but we respect the manager and the system he wants us to play.

“Sometimes, in a game, you have to decide what to do in a quick moment. For example I might have to move inside to get the ball and dribble past an opponent, you have to make quick decisions.

“The coach has improved our confidence. In training and at half-time he talks to us a lot which is very helpful.”

Chelsea will face Watford at the Vicarage Road in their second Premier League game under Antonio Conte‘s management today.

Watford manager Walter Mazzarri had to face Ben Watson‘s red card in his Premier League opener against Southampton and will have to make some decision given that also Hornets‘ new signing Isaac Success won’t be fit for the game due to a leg muscle injury.

Troy Deeney alongside Odion Ighalo will likely play together as they did in their first game of the season.

Juan Cuadrado’s agent, Aleassandro Lucci, is set to meet up with Chelsea and Juventus to discuss a potential move to the Serie A side this week, according to reports.

Both sides are said to be eager to enter talks for the winger on Monday, according to Italian Sky Sport.

The Bianconeri are trying to bring the Colombian international back for another loan spell despite Blues manager Antonio Conte is said to be a great admirer of the 28-year-old and recently admitted: “He will come back very soon and train and play with us. He’s a Chelsea player and he’ll stay with us,”
