Later today Chelsea star Eden Hazard will play with Belgium vs Panama in his first game of Russia 2018 World Cup.

Speaking with French paper L’Equipe, Hazard himself gave “contrasting” messages on his future.

The Belgian player on the one hand said he is “focused on the World Cup,” but, on the other, admitted: “Real Madrid can interest me, everyone knows that. But if tomorrow this club does not want me, we will no longer speak about it. If they want to buy me they know what they have to do”.

However, at the moment, Hazard is a Chelsea player and first, of all, he wants to know what it is going to happen with the London club: “I won everything in London except the Champions League. If I’m here in my career, it’s thanks to Chelsea. the Belgian star explained.  “To say that I am going would be too easy and so first of all I want to see what will happen at Chelsea ahead of next season. I want to see if the coach stays or not. If it is going to Madrid just to go there for the sake of it then no. I need a project and at Chelsea I have one.”

Can Gonzalo Higuain become a new Chelsea player this summer? There are many chances this will happen according to Andrea D’amico‘s words on the one hand and reports by the Evening Standard on the other hand.

Today D’Amico, agent of many football players told the Italian radio programme “Tutti convocati”: “Higuain? He will leave Juventus. He was signed to win the Champions League, but they didn’t win it. He has the appropriate age to be sold”

Moreover, reports by the Evening Standard suggest that Juventus have offered Chelsea Gonzalo Higuain as the Italian champions want to sign Spanish striker Alvaro Morata who already played two seasons with the “Bianconeri”.

Italian outlet Gianluca Di Marzio.com has dropped the transfer market bomb tonight: Thibaut Courtois’ exit from Chelsea is certain and Liverpool have turned their sights on signing him.

The Belgium international is determined to leave Stamford Bridge this summer in search of a new challenge.

Chelsea failed to qualify for the Champions League with a fifth-place finish in the Premier League and the club have also failed in efforts to sign Courtois up to a new long-term deal.

The 26-year-old’s current contract runs out next summer ( 2019) and the Belgian keeper has refused every offer the Blues has made him to extend his contract.

Courtois is set to leave this summer, and will have the choice whether to stay in England or join Real Madrid.

The Champions of Europe and Liverpool are the top contenders for his signature, but it remains to be seen whether Chelsea would sell to a direct rival.

Chelsea may be persuaded to part ways with Courtois as he enters the final 12 months of his contract, rather than lose him on a free transfer next summer.

Next season Chelsea will not take part in the Champions League and this fact could affect the chance of the Blues of signing top players during the next summer transfer window.

However, defender Cesar Azpilicueta is not worried about this issue: “Of course big players will still want to come to Chelsea because we win lots of silverware,” the Spaniard told the Evening Standard. “I have no doubt that the club will get a squad that can compete to win for trophies. I am sure that will happen.”

Maurizio Sarri has yet to be officialy appointed as the new Chelsea manager, but Manchester City‘s coach Pep Guardiola is already waiting for the chance to face the Italian during the next Premier League.

I”f he arrives in the Premier League, it will be a pleasure to play against his side.” – Guardiola told RMC.

Manchester City defeated SS Napoli two times this season in the Champions League, but Guardiola himself was impressed by the quality shown by Sarri’s squad.  “He is one of the best ever.” Guardiola explained. “We judge people for what they have won, but the football played by Napoli this season was like a toast to the sun. He did very well to make sure Napoli put on a show”.

Real Madrid won their 13rd UEFA Champions League after beating Reds in Kiev last night. Loris Karius‘ gift to Karim Benzema (1-0) could have costed Liverpool the final, but Sadio Mané reached an equalizer in the 54th minute. Gareth Bale put ahead Los Blancos again with a superb finish before Karius’ failed to keep hold of another shot from the Wales international.

Former Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah limped off the pitch with a shoulder injury suffered earlier in the firs half, following a clash with Sergio Ramos.

Zinedine Zidane managed to lift the trophy for a 3rd time in a row after beating rivals Atletico Madrid and Juventus respectively in 2016 and 2017.

Cesc Fabregas shared his impressions after the FA Cup final, claiming it was a well deserved trophy for Chelsea but also admits the real target of the season was another one:

“It hasn’t been the best of seasons, objective was to play Champions League but sometimes these things happen. But look at the fans having fun enjoying the day, it’s important for them.

“It was important to keep it tight, we know when we play with five defenders it’s more difficult to put a press higher up the pitch, for the midfielders it’s tough you have to run a lot. We were compact and disciplined.”

Chelsea hero Roberto Di Matteo is convinced Roman Abramovich should keep faith with Antonio Conte also in the next season.

The manager brought the Champions League to Stamford Bridge on this day in 2011/12 campaign. Di Matteo has no doubt it will be a “fantastic clash” at Wembley with “Mourinho against his past”, as Hernan Crespo told us in mixed zone as well.

“Who will win the final? Of course I will cheer for Chelsea, Robbie said to ChelseaNews24 reporter after the legends game at Stamford Bridge last night “But I am sure it will be a great game, the two clubs have got a great history in this competition.

“It will  be a great game, Wembley is always a wonderful stadium where they play big matches, I hope Chelsea will win.

“I say, again, that would be fair to continue with Antonio [Conte] for the stability of the club and also because he gave a good foundation to the team and the club itself.”

Eden Hazard has warned Chelsea to sign players who will let them challenging in the title race if they want him to commit his future to the club.

Hazard has two years left on his present contract and is considering whether to sign a lucrative extension that would keep him at Stamford Bridge for the remaining prime years of his career.

The Belgian star, anyway, is frustrated by Chelsea’s failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League and, as we explained also yesterday, he is also a real target for clubs like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint Germain.

Asked what it would take to stay with Chelsea in the long-term, Hazard replied:
“I’m waiting for new players next season. We will see.

“I want good players because I want to win next season the Premier League. I want to win a lot of things.”

This would be Hazard’s last big contract and the forward has no intention of rushing his decision, despite reports that Chelsea are willing to pay him around £300,000 ( € 430,000 ) per week.

That’s why I’m taking my time. It’s something big. I need to think of a lot of things. One thing for sure is I’m happy here.

“We can’t be in the Champions League next season so we need to win trophies. That’s it.

“I say many times before I think it is not my last game. It’s the last game of the season, that’s it.

“After the World Cup then we will be ready for the next season.

“But for me, in my mind, I’m here, I have one week to play now. Saturday is a massive game. I just want to win for me and them also.”

Hazard reveals the uncertainty surrounding Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has had no impact on the squad.

Conte is expected to leave at the end of the season after his relationship with the club’s board was ruined by their failure to back his transfer plans.

“We don’t think about that. We’re just focused on the game,” Hazard claimed.

“We have one game to play and then we’ll see what happens at the end of the season.”

“I need two more trophies, Champions League and FA Cup. That’s it,” Hazard said about the trophies he is missing in his personal cabinet.

“We’re Chelsea. We need trophies at the end of the season.

“At the moment we have nothing. We have not qualified for the Champions League. So the season has been bad.

“If we can’t be in the Champions League we need the trophy.

“It’s up to us to save the season with the FA Cup. I’ve never won the FA Cup. I hope this year is for me and for Chelsea. We will give everything.”

Chelsea and Hazard will face their former boss José Mourinho this weekend and the Portuguese has been criticised for conservative tactics this season, but Hazard expects United to pose a stern test.

“We know how he will play. We all know that. That’s why we need to be ready,” he concluded.

Eden Hazard wants to leave Chelsea after the team failed to qualify for next Champions League tournament.

According to Spanish news outlet Don Balon, the Belgian doesn’t want to stay at Stamford Bridge because he reckons one season out of the European most important competition could ruin his career.

Don Balon reports that the winger feels it’s time to move on and there are several teams ready the 27-year-old: Manchester City are among the teams that have enquired about his situation ahead of the summer transfer window.

PSG and Bayern Munich have also asked to be kept informed about Hazard’s plans, while Real Madrid are still linked with the Belgium star.
