Callum Hudson-Odoi suffered a serious injury during Chelsea’s 2-2 draw against Burnley tonight, according to what Blues assistant boss Gianfranco Zola said after the final whistle.

Hudson-Odoi limped off five minutes before half-time at Stamford Bridge and N’Golo Kante was substituted at the interval after also picking up an injury.

Kante’s injury does not appear to be serious but there is concern for the teenager player.

“Kante shouldn’t be too bad but Hudson looks a serious thing. It’s a problem with his Achilles tendon,” Zola told Sky Sports.

More exams in the upcoming days will reveal the real extent of the injury.

Sadio Mane and Mo Salah’s goal condemn Chelsea to defeat but the Blues still maintain the fourth place.

The game was leveled but Chelsea were not efficient in their attacks, with the Reds finding the net twice in the beginning of the second part: at 51′ with Mane and at 53′ with Salah‘s stunner.

Eden Hazard was Chelsea most dangerous man when he hit the post right after Liverpool’s second goal and was denied a goal by Alisson moments later.

The Blues will face the next match in the Premier League on April 22nd against Burnley at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea striker Gonzalo Higuain says he would like to stay at Stamford Bridge next season.

The Argentinian player, 31, joined the Blues on loan until the end of the season from Juventus in January.

Last week, Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri said Higuain – who has scored three goals in eight Premier League appearances – “needs more time to improve”.

“I want to do as well as I can so I can be here for next season,” Higuain said in an interview to Chelsea website.

“I came here and I wanted to stay. It’s a good city, you live well and you can be relaxed but also enjoy yourself, so my intention is to stay here.”

Higuain scored twice on his home debut against Huddersfield in February, but his last goal was in the Blues’ 2-1 win over Fulham in March.

Chelsea have the option to buy him for 36m euros (£31.3m), or to extend his loan deal until June 2020 for 18m euros (£15.6m).

“I’m happy here, it’s always nice to try a new league and it’s my first taste of the Premier League, ” Higuain continued.

“Obviously it’s a period where I’m adapting but I’m hoping that, although I’ve only got a short time, I can finish well.

“The best thing we can do is qualify for the Champions League and hopefully win the Europa League too.”

Eden Hazard is reportedly one Real Madrid‘s top targets for next summer transfer window and with just a year left on his contract, Chelsea could be forced to sell him or risk losing their star player for free next year.

The Belgium international was at his brilliant best on Monday evening as he scored twice, including one sublime solo effort, to secure Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over West Ham.

During the match, Hammers’ supporters were taunting their Chelsea rivals by singing ‘he’s off to Madrid’.

But when asked about the chants after the game, Hazard told Sky Sports:

“They are wrong. For now I am just focusing on Chelsea until the end of the season.

“I want to finish top four and Europa League, we still have a lot to do and then we will see.

“We are in good momentum. We have won three in a row. For the mentality, it is good to keep going.

“Top four and the Europa League is our target so we need to do well in both but we can do it.”

Speaking about his sublime solo goal, Hazard said:

“It was something special: I took the ball and then I tried to move forward. In the box it was hard for the defender to challenge me because if he touches me it could be a penalty.

“I was maybe a little lucky with the shot. I wanted to shoot quickly.

“When I saw the ball in the net I was just so happy. I am small so it is good when I play against tall players as it’s very hard for them to change direction.”

Chelsea lose the League Cup final 4-3  against Manchester City at penalties after an intense game that ended goal-less in the 120′.

After a low pace first part with no special moments, Maurizio Sarri‘s team impressed in the second regular half but missed a couple of huge chances with Kanté and Pedro.

The extra time was leveled but still goal-less but the highlight of those 30′ was in the final minutes with Maurizio Sarri going literally mad at his goal-keeper Kepa, who refused to come off after a knock for Willy Caballero, who was ready to replace him.

Jorginho and David Luiz missed their penalties in the final shoot-outs and Sterling scored the fifth one for Citizens, after also Sanè missed his, giving them the cup and, so, first trophy of the season.

Chelsea lose 2-0 at home against Manchester United and are out of FA Cup at last 16.

Very bad display from the Blues, with no heart or character shown by the players on the pitch and some disappointed fans leaving the stadium way before the end of the game, even at half-time.

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is now on the brink, as it seems he’s not able to lead the team properly anymore and his last signing, Gonzalo Higuain, is far from impressing at Stamford Bridge.

Goals for United were scored by Ander Herrera ( 31′) and Paul Pogba ( 45′).
