Michy Batshuayi took his chance as Conte expected

Another young flying talent to recognise is: “Batshuayi”… the 23-year old really took his chance to make his stake” in the Chelsea team in this afternoon’s third-round FA Cup Tie against Peterborough where he was fantastic on the attack. Manager Antonio Conte said before the game that the youngster should “make his stake in the team” and make the most of the “rare opportunity”.

After playing only 82 minutes of football in the Premier League this season since his £33million arrival in the summer, the Belgian has sent a message to Antonio Conte to ensure he has clear striker options.

Arsenal manager ARSENE WENGER speaks out about the loan system

Chelsea football club with thirty players on loan currently have been heavily criticised by the Arsenal manager this week as he spoke on the Arsenal website. WENGER says said that the whole loan system which involves players with talent not playing at their clubs at such a youthful age should be “looked at again”. ARSENE WENGER expressed that he thinks the loan system is “one of the biggest problems in the modern game”.

WENGER said: “The way a youth team is organised now is that all the best young players go to the richest clubs, which is where they have fewer chances to develop, so you have to make sure the system shares out the best young players equally.

“It’s difficult because the development of the players depends on the concentration of the good players.

“The more good players you have together, the more chance they have of becoming even better players.”

Chelsea manager ANTONIO CONTE has indeed made good use of young developed energetic players seen to have distinct talent, such us the likes of VICTOR MOSES and has been rumoured to be looking to buy more players despite having young talented players on loan. While WENGER believes there can be improvements to the loan system in the future, Chelsea who are on top as the year ends may still be looking to buy further players with money that Arsenal may not be willing to spend.

One of the highly talented players developed in his young age at Arsenal is CESC FABREGAS. After going away from  the Emirates to his homeland of Spain for a time and then trying to return to Arsenal but rejected by WENGER, FABREGAS could be a title winner at the cost of Arsenal. FABREGAS is a high flying midfielder constantly adding to the attacking new formation of ANTONIO CONTE whilst ARSENE WENGER as usual comes up to a season period where he has to consider spending money or getting players from the January possibility of loans. The loan system WENGER is not happy with can help his team as Chelsea at present are flying high despite having thirty players on loan this season.

According to Bild, Borussia Monchengladbach is really keen on signing Chelsea starlet Andreas Christensen. 19-year-old defender will probably join the team from Germany for a season-long loan.

Andreas Christensen was a regular player for Chelsea’s U-21 where he made 43 appareances scoring four goals. He is also a member of Denmark Under-21.

The Youth Chelsea Club won this year the UEFA Youth League and FA Youth Cup trophies. And Christiansen played an important role in all those tournaments.

He made only four appareances in Chelsea’s senior team. However is not really suprising taking into account that Christiensen must compete with such a players as John Terry or Gary Cahill.

While the team from Germany is definately going to let him play.

Nathan Ake

Being picked to play against West Bromwich Albion later today, Nathan Ake looked back at his development as a Chelsea player.

José Mourinho has outlined Ake as a player who will definitely be involved in today’s match, following a good showing at his one month loan at Reading.

“I have been working under him on a regular basis for one-and-a-half years now and it’s been really good,” Nathan commented. “I’ve been involved in a lot of training sessions with him and played some games under him too, and he always helps me, in training and in matches. I just try to improve every day.”

Ake spoke with hope with regards to the future stars of the club: “It’s been great to see so many young players get chances to play for the first team this season. Of course you just want to play as many games as you can, and hopefully I can do that against West Brom, but let’s see.”

Although Ake has already started for Chelsea this season in the Capital One Cup, today would be his first start in the Premier League: “In the Capital One Cup I played the first two games and I was on the bench for the final so I do feel like I helped the team to win that trophy.”

With the future looking bright for the younger members of Chelsea, Nathan Ake will hope that he can use today as another opportunity to improve and obtain more first team playing time next season.

In anticipation for his first team debut on Monday, Isaiah Brown spoke to Chelsea TV on his progress.

“The last few months have been the best in my football career, the way I have been playing” – Brown has improved enough to appear in the subs a number of times, however is now looking forward to going one step further.

“To win the Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League and score in the finals is a big thing for me. I am happy with my performance so far but it doesn’t stop now because there are some big games coming up.”

Brown also spoke on fellow youth squad team mate Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who just had his debut against Liverpool: “He has been an excellent player this season…He marked his claim why he is one of the best young players in England. I am so happy for him to have played 60 minutes against Liverpool because I think he deserved it as well.”

The young midfielder continued to speak highly of Loftus-Cheek and the significance of breaking into the first team: “Everyone at the Academy, that’s where they want to be, they want to be Ruben – to play for the Chelsea first team. For me to be with him every day is good for me because I can learn what I have to do to be where Ruben is. I think I am ready to play whenever I am called upon.”

With his call to the first team being imminent, Izzy Brown will be looking to make his claim for a consistent spot.

bamford_boro

Despite being a part of Chelsea since 2012, midfielder Patrick Bamford is still yet to achieve his dream of putting on the blue shirt for the first team.

Blues manager Jose Mourinho has stated his plans to implement a few youngsters next year, having a successful youth team to pick players from. However, there appears to be no mention of this season’s Championship Player of the Year.

After a solid campaign for Middlesbrough, scoring 19 goals to help the Boro reach the heights of the Championship, one would think Bamford, at the ripe age of 21 would be an ideal long term investment for a side that have had to battle against injury issues with their older strikers. However, transfer rumours surrounding Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette make things all the more uncertain.

A number of Premier League teams appear to be interested in employing Bamford’s talents, for at least the duration of one season. That includes Southampton, Crystal Palace and Newcastle. However, Mourinho may see enough value in him to keep him on the books, even if only as a fail safe measure in case the imminent Premier League champions face striker issues.

Either way, Bamford should look forward to playing in the top flight, even if it means a delay in reaching his dream of playing first team football for the Blues. Before this season, he has been loaned out to Derby and MK Dons.

With Middlesbrough now in the Championship play-offs, though, and now only three games away from promotion to the Premier League, many will look to see whether the Teeside team retain the services of a crucial part of their team this season.

fa-youth-cup

Roman Abramovich is pleased as the Chelsea youth squad produced a less ‘boring’ result than their senior counterparts to retain the cup.

The first half consisted of of an early goal from Man City’s Iheanacho, keeping the game competitive until Isaiah Brown headed home a corner.

Solanke assisted Abraham for his 39th Goal of the season in the first minute of second half, bringing the aggregate score to 5-2. The game then remained relatively calm for almost 10 minutes as Man City aimed to get back into it, before Clarke-Salter attempted to finish off the game with a header from a corner.

Solanke remained unselfish throughout the game, while Abraham showed hunger to the point where he was substituted for Ruben Sammut in the 66th minute, while Maunel Garcia came on for Man City’s Marcus Wood.

Having done what he could, Man City replaced goalscorer Kelechi Iheanacho with Issac Buckley in the 70th minute with hopes of closing the gap. Jeremy Boga then came off for Kasey Palmer in the 73rd minute, before Buckley’s goal attempt was disallowed due to a foul.

After taking a knock, Musonda came off for Mukhtar Ali in the 83rd minute, as the game calmed down towards the final whistle after one last notable chance from Chelsea youth.

With their 4th FA Youth Cup in 6 years, the Chelsea youth are heading for a bright future.
