Jose Mourinho has been spotted with notes that appear to be about his upcoming court appearance over claims Chelsea‘s club doctor, Eva Carneiro, was discriminated against at work by him.

It was thought that the former Chelsea manager would be meeting with Manchester United higher-ups today, as he is likely to be announced as Louis van Gaal‘s replacement soon. However, it now appears today he went to meet with lawyers about the discrimination case after he was spotted carrying notes.

On a piece of paper with a title referring to the employment tribunal, it was written ‘I have never heard this allegation before’.

Not much of the manager’s writing is visible, but the phrases ‘not true’ and ‘fantasy’ are both viable lower down the page.

The Daily Mail reports that United hope to announce Mourinho as the club’s new manager as soon on Wednesday.

Chelsea’s former doctor, Carneiro, spent five hours in a private hearing in Croydon in March, with the doctor seeking ‘substantial damages’ from Chelsea. The case is set to continue on the 6th of June.

Asked if a settlement had been reached afterwards, she shook her head, while her legal team refused to comment.

With Jose Mourinho‘s deal at Manchester United all but complete, rumours are now circulating on the possible transfers he will be looking at.

The Daily Mail suggests that Jose Mourinho will be using the £200m given to him in transfer funds to sign Chelsea holding-midfielder Nemanja Matic.

Despite Matic having a poor season last year, Jose Mourinho has spent enough time with Matic to see what he is capable of on the field.

It is unsure whether incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte will have Matic in his plans at Stamford Bridge.

However, during a spell Mourinho had at Chelsea he felt that Spanish international Juan Mata, Chelsea‘s past player of the season, wasn’t good enough to play for his team. Now, Mourinho could go to United and opt to let Mata go, in part of an exchange deal for Matic.

Guus Hiddink has told Fox Sports that he will stay at Chelsea next season as a consultant. He will focus on improving the first-team pathway for Chelsea young players after more than 30 of them were sent out on loan by Jose Mourinho last season to clubs across Europe.

“You often see that the young players are not always easy to link up with the first team. You have to use them through sparingly, otherwise they can end up burnt out.”

“I already did that with Bertrand Traore and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, but it needs to happen more often.”

Hiddink also wants to bring former players such as Didier Drogba and Petr Cech back to the club as coaches and assistants.

“They have had a great impact here. Once they are really finished with their playing careers, they can be of great value to the club, as an assistant or scout.”
