Cahill talks about his season, about his Blues’ life, disappointments and his wishes. He knows how about particularity of Chelsea’ supporters and he also know that sometimes happens that there’s someone criticizes him and talks also about this.

Despite often he’s at centre of market rumors, he wants still prove how determinant and determined he is also in relation to criticism.

“I’m sure the club bought me at that stage to be a squad player”

“For £7million and the fact I’m English and qualify for home-grown, 100 per cent, you don’t have to be a brain surgeon to realise ‘ok they’ve brought me in to be one of four or five’. That’s the feeling I got when I came here. But I can remember how determined, how hungry, I was to make this a success”

“The majority of Chelsea fans have been unbelievable to me, but there is maybe an element of five per cent always thinking ‘get the next best thing in’ or ‘move him on’. I can feel that in a certain percentage. It always seems to be that when someone is signed, it’s ‘oh Cahill’s on his way”.

“It always seems to be that when someone is signed, it’s ‘oh Cahill’s on his way’. I’ve had that for as long as I can remember being at this club. Last year, John Terry was captain off the pitch but I was captain the majority of the time on the pitch and yet I’m hearing ‘Cahill might be fighting for his place’.

Cahill was once again written off during Chelsea’ bad period but he came back on his place:

“I find it tough to be left out, to sit there and not influence anything. Thankfully, now I’m back in playing and at level where I feel I should be, whereas before I feel there were a few games when I was very disappointed in my game.”

Cahill is exciting for the FA CUP Final, especially because, during the last one Final he couldn’t play ‘cause was injury:

“100 per cent, it’s the one that I’d like to win on the pitch,” said Cahill. “I was really disappointed last season because we won the League early and, rightly so, it was a relaxed atmosphere.

“We enjoyed the rest of the League and tried to switch on the week before to play the final, and I think we put up as short a performance in that game as we had all season. I felt like it was one we let slip away that we let get away.

“So I feel blessed at the minute that we are gearing up for another one and it’s one that could save a big chunk of the season. However you dress it up that final is a huge, huge game.”

Ucl’ qualification or winning of Fa Cup? “I know that it is vitally important for the club to be in the Champions League, in terms of everything, and it’s something that Chelsea is used to being involved in”.

“But a trophy is a trophy and you are talking to an Englishman who knows the meaning of the FA Cup and has watched the FA Cup since I have been small. Maybe it’s different for the foreign lads who come over, I’m not sure. But, for me, the FA Cup is huge. It’s a tough question, but a trophy is a trophy.”

England manager has doubts over Cahill ahead of the World Cup and for 32-year-old be a part of that team is a big gol despite difficulties expecially after his left out during last friendlies matches

“I spoke to the manager and I have got a good relationship with him,” said Cahill. “That’s personal, but I respected him for speaking to me before finding out elsewhere. And that was then, and it is what it is. No problem”

“Clearly I was disappointed to not be involved, especially when I have been involved for the last seven to eight years and played in the majority of the qualifying games to get to this tournament. So, of course, it was disappointing.

“So if you are asking me am I capable of going to the World Cup, I feel personally yes I am. If you’re asking me if I’ve got the CV or the experience, then yes, but that is my opinion and the only opinion that matters is obviously the manager’s and his assistant.”

Hull on the other hand have struggled since making a surprising good start to the season and were at the receiving end of a 5-1 drubbing from Liverpool.

Chelsea will go into the game with confidence, haven’t not loosed to Hull in the Premier League, winning six times and drawing twice.

MANAGER QUOTES

Antonio Conte speaking ahead of the game: “It is never good when you lose, but I think also in these two games we saw and learnt a lot of important things. We must work very hard to recover.”

‘We finished 10th last season – when you finish 10th it means you have problems. Now we are trying to solve this situation, but we haven’t got a magic wand.”

“We faced two teams who were very strong and for me, these two teams are now at the top. We have a lot to improve, but this is the hope we must have.’I see the present and the opportunity to improve, it’s not easy. But we know this.”

Mike Phelan speaking ahead of the game:

“You win, you lose and you draw, you have to take the good and the bad, but you have to beprogressive and I think we will be because I’ve seen signs of that.”

“I’m sure Chelsea will come here in a good mood because they are a top class team. I don’t see why they won’t be challenging for the title this season, there will be a few teams in that category as we’ve experienced in the last two weeks.”

“They’re very strong physically and mentally. A lot of questions have been asked about them in the last couple of weeks and strong teams will respond to that.”

“We can only do our own job and our own game plan. We have to try and execute that well and cause them issues to make them change their approach to the game. We have to be in the game to get something out of it and our players are more than capable of that.”

Ruben Loftus -Cheek has revealed he looked up to Frank Lampard as his idol and inspiration while coming through the ranks at Chelsea.

Lampard who’s Chelsea’s all time goalscorer is adored by the fans and players alike and it’s no difference for the young Blue.

“Growing up in the youth team, the player I looked up to most was Frank Lampard,” he said.

“He was in the same position and he was a goalscoring midfielder. I looked at his game and I tried to replicate how he scores his goals.”

Loftus-Cheek was instrumental for England’s U21 team at the Toulon tournament and also scored in the final as they won the tournament and the 20 year old is looking forward to representing his country as a full international.

“It’s great being part of a group of players that are so talented and around the same age as me,” he added.

“I think the future of England is looking quite bright at the moment. You look around the Premier League teams and there’s a lot of young talent.

“We have to push those young players. Sometimes it’s hard to get game time as a young player but we have to push and hopefully we can play for England in the future.”

Ex Arsenal striker Ian Wright believes N’golo Kante is still struggling to find his feet at Chelsea after his excellent performances for Leicester in their title winning season.

The France international initially made an impressive start to his 2016-17 Premier League.

But Kante couldn’t prevent Chelsea losing back to back games to Liverpool and Arsenal and Ian Wright believes Kante struggled in both games and insists it’s different for Kante playing for Leicester and Chelsea.

“Now Kante is in a team like Chelsea and we are starting to see little chinks,” Wright toldThe Sun Goals podcast.

“He was far too tight on Ozil for Arsenal’s third goal. He didn’t see the danger. That is something you couldn’t accuse him of last season.

“He is still finding his feet there. But there are worrying signs. Playing for Leicester and playing for Chelsea are two different things. Now we’re expecting performances from Kante. It’s the dreaded second album.”

Bristol City coach Lee Johnson is delighted on-loan Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has been named PFA Fans’ Player of the Month.

Over 30,000 votes were cast as the on-loan Chelsea striker beat off competition from Newcastle United’s Jonjo Shelvey and Huddersfield Town’sAaron Mooyto land the prize.

Johnson told bcfc.co.uk: “It’s important we look after him, nurture him and ensure he improves and grows.

“If that happens, who knows who we might be taking on loan next season? We’re trying to set ourselves up for the next Tammy Abraham.”

Although he doubts the possibility of the striker joining permanently but admitted he won’t rule out the chance on signing him if available.

He didn’t rule out a potential second season on loan, but added: “It’s still early days in his loan really and we should see it for what it is.

After the defeat at the hands of a rampant Arsenal team,Chelsea have come under attack from former Blues striker Tony Cascarino.

The former Chelsea player has singled  out Eden Hazard specifically as he accused the Belgian of failing to listen to Antonio Conte’s instructions.

Chelsea were easily beaten  3-0 by their London rivals Arsenal, courtesy  of Alexis Sanchez, Alex Iwobi, andMesut Ozil goals.

He said, “There are a few Chelsea players who are playing for themselves. They are more interested in how they play but it is not helping the team.

‘You can certainly accuse two or three. Hazard would fall into that bracket.

He continued, ” We all know how good he is and how good he can be but I would say he is one of the players who did not follow instructions at theweekend. There were probably two or three others and you only need two or three others. Then your team is finished. You are going to get beaten. ” Hazard was very poor on the night as he was substituted in the 71st minute.

The former Chelsea striker also slammed Chelsea’s shambolic defense as he said, “Defensively, they are awful. I think you can question all the back four. Azpilicueta has not played anywhere near as well. Ivanovic has beenpoor for 18 months. Cahill has really struggled tobe the number one. David Luiz drops far too deep and keeps people onside. The goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois as well just looks disinterested.”

Chelsea have now lost back to back games and sit eight on the premier league table.

It was a day to forget for Chelsea as they were soundly beaten 3-0 by Arsenal in the Premier League.

Chelsea went into the game at the back of a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool and were desperate to get back to winning ways at the Emirates but a defensive error from Gary Cahill in the 11th minute allowed Alexis Sanchez to put Arsenal 1-0 up and the second followed after Bellerin teed up Walcott and Ozil finished it off with a fine finish to make it 3-0 in the first half.

Chelsea struggled to create chances in the second half with Hazard,  Willian and Fabregas all anonymous, Marcos Alonso, Pedro and Batshuayi came on for the aforementioned trio, the best chance fell to Batshuayi late on but he failed to beat Cech.

A first league win over the Blues since October 2011 moves Arsene Wenger’s team up to third in the table and Chelsea down to seventh in what has been a bad start for Chelsea after a promising beginning to the season.

Conte will be looking to make drastic changes and bring the team back to winning ways to avoid another catastrophic season.

Former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp believes Diego Costa will be a handful for the Gunners on Saturday when the two London giants clash at the Emirates.

Redknapp wrote for theLondon EveningStandard: “Didier Drogba isn’t around to terrorize Arsenal anymore but they have to prove Diego Costa has not become their new bogeyman.

“Costa came on forChelseain their EFL Cup tie at Leicester and his movement was unbelievable. He was virtually unplayable — some of the runs he made were superb and Leicester couldn’t cope with it.

“When he is focused, he has got that great ability of bending his runs brilliantly and timing his changes of direction to create space.”These days, he is looking like the kind of world beater he can be and Arsenal have it all on to keep him quiet if he turns up at Emirates Stadium on Saturday in that kindof mood.”
