Chelsea's Ruben Loftus-Cheek reacts

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has confirmed midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek will continue working at Cobham after being left out of Gareth Southgate’s latest England squad.

The Italian boss, speaking after Chelsea’s narrow win in their second Europa League clash against FC Vidi, told journalists: “It’s better to stay in Cobham. At the moment for him, it’s very important to have a lot of training. In the last three, four weeks, he hasn’t been training a lot”.

“Now it’s better for him to stay to work. I have seen he is a great player from the technical point of view, from the physical point of view. He has to improve from a tactical point of view”.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek was given game time again after coming off the bench in the second half against both Bournemouth and Huddersfield Town.

While on international duty with ItalyChelsea‘s midfielder Jorginho spoke to the Blues official website about his impact with the Premier League.

Jorginho himself is enjoying is new life in England: “The Premier League is really nice, it’s wonderful,’”he said. “It is also quite difficult to explain certain things. You need to experience them personally to take it all in. I enjoy the high tempo of the matches and the fact that all the players get involved 100 per cent in the games. There is a big difference to Serie A, in terms of rhythm, physicality. Everybody knows this, of course, but I am enjoying it a lot”.

According to the new Chelsea midfielder there is a big difference not only on the pitch during the matches, but also when the team are training: “To understand the difference with the infrastructure in England you have to experience it,” Joriginho added. “At Cobham, we have 38 pitches. Enough said.’

Both Kepa Arrizabalaga and Mateo Kovacic started to work under the management of Maurizio Sarri at Cobham earlier this evening.

The Spain international joined the Blues from Athletic Bilbao on a world-record £72m move last night, while the Croatian star was included as a part of the deal which landed Thibaut Courtois to Santiago Bernabeu today. Kovacic, who joins Chelsea on a season-long loan, received a warm-welcome from former Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata earlier today.

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has today led his first training session at Cobham training centre. The Blues continue their pre-season as they will be traveling to Australia next week ahead of a friendly match against Perth Glory on Monday 23 July.

The Italian man has also spoken to Chelsea’s official website about new challenge of his professional career as head-coach, an interview which is currently available on the club’s new app.

Maurizio Sarri has put the pen to paper on a deal to become Chelsea head-coach.

Gianfranco Zola will be his assistant, according to Sky in Italy.

Chelsea confirmed the club have parted ways with Antonio Conte earlier this morning and the former Napoli manager has reportedly completed the takeover at Stamford Bridge.

The 60-year-old is set to be unveiled as the new Chelsea boss in the next few hours.

Gianfranco Zola will have an important role in Sarr’s coaching staff, as well as former Empoli manager Giovanni Martusciello.

It seemed a normal day today for Antonio Conte at Cobham: the Italian manager took the pre-season training and worked as usual with his players even after revelations over Maurizio Sarri made by SS Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis.

De Laurentiis himself claimed Chelsea have made contact with Sarri who will soon become the new Blues’ manager.

More fitness work for Chelsea players on Monday, the club’s official website wrote earlier today. It has been reported the squad had medical tests on Saturday in their first day of pre-season.

Antonio Conte was pictured in Cobham as the Italian manager led the training session alongside his staff in full and a dozen of Chelsea players underwent a double session of training in the sun.

Ethan Ampadu, Cesc Fabregas, David Luiz, Danny Drinkwater, Ross Barkley, Emerson Palmieri, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Alvaro Morata, Marcos Alonso, Pedro and Davide Zappacosta were the Blues’ players available as well as a large number of loanees which came back to Cobham recently.

Chelsea head-coach Antonio Conte was pictured in Cobham with his full staff as a part of the squad has been testing for the new season since Saturday.

The Italian remains on the brink following recent rumors regarding a potential takeover for Sarri on Wednesday, anyway the former Italy and Juventus manager greeted some Chelsea players as the club’s official tv showed earlier today.

It has been reported from several sources that Conte was not involved in Chelsea players’ medical tests undergone on Saturday.

The Italian man showed once again his commitment to the club, and will carry on carry on working with a regular timetable until he’s eventually sacked from the club.

Even his brother Daniele wrote on Instagram yesterday: “Come on Chelsea, come on Team Conte!!!”
