Three players sent off in just two games of the new season are too much, so Cesar Azpilicueta sends a message to all his team-mates ahead of Sunday’s London derby vs Tottenham at Wembley.

“If you see the last season when we were champions, we didn’t get a red card until the FA Cup Final and now we have had one in the Community Shield and against Burnley” – Azpilicueta told Standard Sport – “We know it is difficult 11 against 11 in this League so obviously when you are 10 against 11 it is even harder. When we are down to 10 men it is really difficult so we have to learn from this and hopefully we can do something on Sunday”.

Chelsea captain Gary Cahill spoke to the Blues official website about yesterday game at Wembley vs Arsenal.

The team’s captain considers the defeat as a disappointment, but believes he and his team-mates have to forget this and be ready for their Premier League‘s campaign.

“I don’t see it as a setback, I see it as a disappointment because it was a game we wanted to win and an opportunity to win a trophy,” – Cahill said – “I don’t care what trophy it is, if you finish your career with six it’s better to finish with seven. We let that slip, obviously penalty shoot-outs are a cruel way to end a game. We’re disappointed but we need to brush it off and prepare for what’s going to be an important season”.

Antonio Conte, Chelsea players and fans are not happy after the Blues failed to win the Community Shield vs London rivals Arsenal.

However, former Chelsea player Glenn Hoddle believes tomorrow the feelings will be very different, especially for the Italian manager.

“Tomorrow it’s not a bad result”. – Hoddle told BT Sport speaking about Antonio Conte – “He can now go to the board and say ‘we need players’. If they win today, two or three-nil, all the players are running round happy. The fans are happy. The board would say ‘you’ve got a squad there that is good enough’. Now they need to buy.”

Antonio Conte is clearly not happy for the Community Shield result, but he defends is choice of Thibaut Courtois among the Blues penalty takers.

“It can happen”. – Conte told Fox Sports – Thibaut was one of our penalty takers and he has missed it. He can score or miss a penalty just like any other player on the pitch.”

The Italian manager, however, was more frustrated about Pedro being sending off in the second half: “It was a tough decision” – Conte continued – “I didn’t see the replay but it is the second time that we finished with one man down against Arsenal. We have to look forward and prepare ourselves for the start of the season.”

Speaking to BT Sport, Chelsea legend Frank Lampard hailed Victor Moses’ performance today at Wembley.

The Nigerian player scored The Blues goal but this wasn’t enough to defeat Arsenal at to win the Community Shield.

“He came at a young age, I think he had a year under Rafa Benitez when he got a few minutes but then he got loaned out for three years on the trot”. – Lampard said – “Antonio Conte came in and gave him a new lease of life. He gave him a role as a wing-back and you saw a player today who was a massively important player for them.”

After their Asian Tour, in which they played three games, Chelsea are back in Europe.

Antonio Conte’s side is preparing his first official match of the season: the Community Shield vs Arsenal at Wembley.

First of all, however , the Blues manager believes his players have to rest after the tour and three games in just eight days.

“Now it is difficult to tell how far off we are,” Conte said as reported by the Daily Mirror -“We have to continue to work. My players are very tired because they played three games in only eight days. With this temperature and humidity, players are always the same and they will be tired. It is important to rest and to come back to London and restart work”.

Then, on Sunday, Chelsea will play vs Arsenal for the Community Shield: “It is not a friendly game. It is an official game and there is a trophy so for us it must be important,” – Conte continued. – “Every fixture has its own history and now we have to play another game. We lost the final of the FA Cup and it was a pity as we were in a position to win. But Arsenal won. Now this is another story, we must be able to fight and be able to win.”
