According to rumours coming from Spain Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois put new deal’s negotiations with the Blues on hold because he’s considering a move to Real Madrid.

Merengues’ first-choice signing would be Manchester United’s David De Gea, Courtois has reportedly been identified as the ideal alternative, with Zinedine Zidane reportedly huge fan of the Belgian keeper.

This is the main reason why Courtois is currently refusing to put pen on paper on a new Chelsea deal, with the current one expiring in 2019.

It would be a return to the Spanish capital for the Belgian player, as he already played three seasons in Atletico Madrid on loan from Chelsea, from 2011 to 2014.

Tony Cascarino doesn’t like the way Diego Costa is behaving now in his “battle” with Chelsea.

The former Blues striker has made it clear speaking to the Daily Star: “Sometimes you get embarrassed to be an ex-player. – Cascarino said -Players will be embarrassed to listen and read about Diego Costa. This guy totally thinks he can do what he wants. Hopefully Chelsea dg their heels in over Diego Costa. That’s fine if his contract is up but you’ve two years to run. You’ve a duty to stay and play for the football club. Diego gives food to those who criticise footballers. He’s embarrassed every footballer. He’s at the stage where he’s telling Chelsea how much he thinks he’s worth, which is wrong.”

Chelsea star Diego Costa released a statement on his future and, as expected, it won’t be at Stamford Bridge:

“My destination is already made. I must return to Atletico Madrid,” Brazil’s Globoesporte quoted him.

“It turns out that there is the impasse that Chelsea does not want to release me. But I believe that this situation will be resolved now on my return to Spain.”

“I am waiting for Chelsea to set me free. Why won’t they let me go if they don’t want me?

“My desire is to go to Atletico. I’ve spoken to Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia. I said, ‘If the manager doesn’t want me, I want to go to Atletico Madrid’.

“They want me to be there training with the reserves. I wouldn’t be allowed access to the first-team dressing room and I would have no contact at all with the guys. I’m not a criminal! I don’t think it is fair after all I have done to be treated like that
