Chelsea midfielder Mario Pasalic is confident that ‘his time is coming soon’, according to agent Federico Pastorello, who claimed the Croatian starlet is happy to stay at Milan and seems ready to bounce back following the slow start to the season.

It is understood the 21-year-old is still recovering from a series of injuries which suffered last season.

Pastorello told Calciomercato.it: “He has no problems of acclimatisation, or physical problems. He has not played because according to coach Montella he is a little ‘back in physical condition’ because he didn’t do the physical training with the others as he was still recovering from injury. He played only two friendly games since he arrived. His time is coming soon.”

According to the Croatian side’s manager, Zlatko Kranjcar, Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign Dinamo Zagreb goalkeeper Eduardo dos Reis Carvalho, known as simply Eduardo.

Kranjcar was asked whether the Portuguese international was leaving the club and he told Croatian news outlet 24 Sata that he believes that to be case and wishes him all the luck in the world.

“I think so. Eduardo has been given an amazing opportunity to leave for a big club like Chelsea.

“With his arrival we gained security in our team. During my time at the club he has defended his goal very well. Even impressively. But the situation is that he is leaving. May he have all the good luck at the big club.”

Antonio Conte‘s Chelsea are a little short of experienced goalkeepers at the club, with only Asmir Begovic to back up number one keeper Thibaut Courtois. An injury to either of those and the Blues could be in trouble for the rest of the season.

So, with the deal for Eduardo being all but complete, it’s great news for everyone involved with the London club.

Chelsea sent Mario Pasalic out on a season-long loan to Ligue 1 club Monaco.

Monaco have decided against any attempt to keep the Croatian past the initial deal that the teams made.

Pasalic made 29 appearances for Monaco last season, through Ligue 1, Champions League and French League cup games.

However, it looks set that Pasalic will return to Stamford Bridge next season.

Chelsea has reportedly sent scouts to watch Ivan Perisic and Jeison Murillo against Genoa.

The incoming Blues manager Antonio Conte decided to send assistants to Luigi Ferraris last night to scout some players during Genoa’s 1-0 win over Inter, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Angelo Alessio, one of his long time assistants, was caught in the stands by the TV cameras.

The scouts have monitored Italian striker Leonardo Pavoletti for Euros call-up and Nerazzurri winger Perisic and centre-back Murillo, as Conte seem to have put them on the top of Chelsea’s wishlist.

He was loaned to La Liga side Elche in summer.
