Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has recovered from his minor injury suffered ahead of last weekend’s trip to Sunderland and could play against Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday, according to reports in English press.

Ayway, Red Devils’ manager José Mourinho has praised back-up goalkeeper Sergio Romero, who is impressing with great performances: “Sergio Romero is playing virtually every match in the Europa League and he deserves this continuity. The fact he played against Sunderland is good for him,”

Then the former Chelsea boss added: “We have two very good goalkeepers and we have two young keepers behind them both so we are fine.”

De Gea has reportedly been targeted by Real Madrid as a possible new goalkeeper for La Liga giants, despite also Chelsea star Thibaut Courtois has been heavily linked with a return to Madrid in summer.

It is understood La Liga giants Real Madrid are looking for a new goalkeeper and Manchester United star David De Gea is Red Devils’ priority, according to sports reporter David Garrido.

This would mean that Thibaut Courtois won’t leave Chelsea to join Los Blancos next summer.

Garrido said: “De Gea is Real Madrid’s priority for me, Navas is under such pressure right now, you can really sense that. People are talking about it and you can see it by his demeanour on the pitch.

Then he added: “For me I think that De Gea is the next Galactico.”

SkySports pundit Guillem Balague has revealed Real Madrid would have targeted both Manchester United star David De Gea and Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois as they want to find a long-term solution after the departure of Iker Casillas in 2015.

Balague is quoted to have said: “I’m not sure if there is a preference towards 1 because they have targeted both, and that’s a normal approach.”

According to reports coming from Spain Thibaut Courtois is desperate for a move to Real Madrid.

Ok Diario reports that the Belgian goalkeeper is “crazy” to go back to La Liga, a championship where he has already played three years when he was on loan to Atletico Madrid from Chelsea,

The Champions of Europe have been looking for a top-keeper after failing to sign David De Gea on summer 2015 transfer window deadline day and have been keen on the Belgian player for a while.

Should Courtois move to the Florentino Perez’s club, Chelsea would ask Colombian winger James Rodrigues in part exchange.

Real Madrid are keen on Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois: the Champions of Europe have been looking for a new “number one” for a couple of years, after Iker Casillas left to end his career at Porto.

The Spanish side are looking for a player to replace Keylor Navas, that is not considered good enough for the team despite being the goalkeeper of “La Undecima” and after failing to sign David De Gea from Manchester United eighteen months ago, the Red Devils and José Mourinho told them they have not intention to let the Spaniard leave to join them in the next transfer windows.

So if FIFA will withdraw the transfer ban imposed on the La Liga giants for the next two transfer windows, they will ty to sign the Blues keeper, who has been impressing first at Atletico Madrid and then at Stamford Bridge.

But Chelsea are not really keen to let Courtois go, unless a huge offer would come from Spain, and with Real Madrid everything is possible.

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is still unsure about his Chelsea future and has been linked with a possible move this summer to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Courtois is valued at £70m and Real Madrid would have to offer at least that amount to persuade Chelsea to let the Belgian go.

He was asked last month whether he saw himself at Chelsea next season.

“I do not say yes, I do not say no. I do not know. I still have three years on my contract.

“We must see what Chelsea want. It is true that it [this season] has changed me. Until now I had always won a trophy every season. We hope that next season will be better.”

Madrid enquired about a move for Courtois last season and are ready to step up their efforts if they fail to sign their first choice David De Gea from Manchester United.

There have been reports that Courtois doesn’t see eye-to-eye with the goalkeeping coach Christophe Lollichon and that would surely add fuel to the fire.

However, newly appointed manager Antonio Conte has spoken to Courtois and his agents telling them that he is a big fan of the 23-year-old and would like him to remain at Stamford Bridge.
