Eden Hazard could have played his last game for Chelsea tonight.

The Belgian player, who scored a brace in the Europa League final against Arsenal, hinted to a move when interviewed on the pitch after the final whistle:

The Belgian, 28, has been linked with a move to Real Madrid and said that he is now “waiting on both clubs’ decision” after “taking my own decision, who I’ve communicated to both clubs.”

I think it’s a goodbye, but in football you never know,” he told BT Sport after winning his second Europa League in 6 years with Chelsea ( the previous one was in 2013, in his first season at Stamford Bridge)

“We will decide in a few days, the only target in my mind was to win this final.”

Then he added: “Maybe now it is the time for a new challenge.

“My dream was to play in the Premier League and I have done that for one of the biggest clubs.”

Hazard joined the Blues for £32m from Lille in summer 2012 and made 352 appearances in seven years, scoring a total of 110 goals, the latest ones tonight in the Baku final.

With a superb second-half Chelsea defeat Arsenal in Baku and win the Europa League.

After a goalless first-half, an Olivier Giroud‘s header broke the lock in the first minutes of the second-half.

Pedro and a penalty by Eden Hazard put the Blues 3 up, before Iwobi scored for Arsenal. In the end, Hazard scored the second goal of the night with Chelsea winning the match 4-1.

The Blues so win their second Europa League after the 2013’s one after the final vs Benfica.

Chelsea transfer ban for the next two transfer windows has just been confirmed.

The club will be allowed only to sell players, while both Mateo Kovacic and Gonzalo Higuain could be signed on a permanent move before the end of June, when their season-long loan expires.

Also USA international star Pulisic will join the Blues at the end of current season. However, Chelsea will be prevented from signing any new player until January 2020.

An official statement from the club reads: “Chelsea FC has today received the decision of the FIFA Appeal Committee.

‘The Club notes that the FIFA Appeal Committee has decided to partially uphold the appeal lodged by Chelsea FC against the decision of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee. However, the Club is very disappointed that the transfer ban of two consecutive registration periods was not overturned.

“Chelsea FC categorically refutes the findings of the FIFA Appeal Committee. It acted in accordance with the relevant regulations and will appeal the decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS)”.

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri watched his side sealing a crucial 1-1 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany tonight in the first-leg of Europa League‘s semi-finals. The Blues will host their opponents at Stamford Bridge next Thursday.

The italian manager, speaking after the game, told journalists: “We made a mistake in the first 20 minutes. My feeling from the bench was that we were playing only to manage the result, for the 0-0. We are not able to do that with our characteristics. The difficulty was a mental difficulty I think. We did not approach the match with the right mentality.

Fortunately after the goal we started to play. We started to play after 25 minutes and we played very well until the 85th minute. We deserved to win for the number of goal opportunities. We were for 60 minutes in control of the match”.

Reflecting on the result, Sarri said: “1-1 away is not so bad. They are very dangerous at home, but unfortunately they are also very dangerous away. It depends on the second leg. We have to play at Stamford Bridge. We want the final, but we know we have to play a very good match next week.”

On Ruben Loftus-Cheek: “He is a very important player. He has improved a lot during the season. When he is at the top physically he is a very important player for us. It’s not easy for him to train with consistency because of his back, but in this match he was really fit. Unfortunately with 10 minutes to go he had cramp and asked for a substitution”.

On his choice to rule Eden Hazard out of Chelsea’s starting XI in Frankfurt: “This match was number 59 I think and Hazard also played eight matches in the national team. For a player it’s impossible to play 70, 75 matches in a season. Sometimes Hazard, like all the other players, needs to not play for 90 minutes. This is the first reason. The second is that Eden is usually able to change the match from the bench. For me it was better to start with Willian and try in the last 30 minutes with Eden”.

Earlier today the PFA Premier League Team of the Year has been announced, but Chelsea star Eden Hazard has not been included despite winning 13 Man of the match awards this season (most than any other player), scoring 16 goals and providing 13 assists.

Also, the Belgian talent is part of the short-list who can win the PFA Player of the Year award, so the London club is not happy about Hazard not being included in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year.

Eden Hazard did make the six-man shortlist for the PFA Players’ Player of the Year award, yet he has not been named in the PFA Premier League Team of Year for 2018/19 which was unveiled this morning,” Chelsea declared in an official statement published on their official website. “Our no.10 is enjoying an outstanding season full of eye-catching moments and his non-selection is being widely described as a surprise omission. Certainly his headline statistics from the current season cannot have counted against him when the votes were cast.  Hazard is enjoying his best Premier League campaign to date when it comes to goals and assists combined, and indeed he tops the table for that total across the all the players at all 20 clubs.”

Also, in their statement, Chelsea underlined how “Hazard will discover on Sunday if he is Players’ Player of the Year when the PFA’s individual accolades are handed out at an awards ceremony in London. His rivals for that are Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva from Manchester City, and Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk from Liverpool. All five of those are in the Team of the Year.”

Sadio Mane and Mo Salah’s goal condemn Chelsea to defeat but the Blues still maintain the fourth place.

The game was leveled but Chelsea were not efficient in their attacks, with the Reds finding the net twice in the beginning of the second part: at 51′ with Mane and at 53′ with Salah‘s stunner.

Eden Hazard was Chelsea most dangerous man when he hit the post right after Liverpool’s second goal and was denied a goal by Alisson moments later.

The Blues will face the next match in the Premier League on April 22nd against Burnley at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea‘s youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi, speaking with Chelsea Tv admitted he watched his team-mate Eden Hazard in awe as he scored his first goal vs West Ham on Monday night at Stamford Bridge.

All I can say is that I watched the whole thing with my mouth wide open,” the England international said. “He’s an exceptional player, though, and I do expect things like that from him. I just watch and learn from him in training, and then in games. Watching someone like that, he is a superb role model to look up to.”

Hazard goal, and his second in the second-half were not only beautiful, but also very important in the Blues’ race for a top-four spot in the Premier League table. “The three points were absolutely crucial,” Hudson-Odoi told Chelsea TV. “A couple of other teams dropped points so we needed to get the result, and we did and we did it in the right manner as well. Our mentality was strong, we worked hard throughout the game, and we had to stay patient because they stayed very compact. So we just had to keep working, and getting our way through and trying to keep moving the ball, and I felt we did that well.”

Eden Hazard is reportedly one Real Madrid‘s top targets for next summer transfer window and with just a year left on his contract, Chelsea could be forced to sell him or risk losing their star player for free next year.

The Belgium international was at his brilliant best on Monday evening as he scored twice, including one sublime solo effort, to secure Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over West Ham.

During the match, Hammers’ supporters were taunting their Chelsea rivals by singing ‘he’s off to Madrid’.

But when asked about the chants after the game, Hazard told Sky Sports:

“They are wrong. For now I am just focusing on Chelsea until the end of the season.

“I want to finish top four and Europa League, we still have a lot to do and then we will see.

“We are in good momentum. We have won three in a row. For the mentality, it is good to keep going.

“Top four and the Europa League is our target so we need to do well in both but we can do it.”

Speaking about his sublime solo goal, Hazard said:

“It was something special: I took the ball and then I tried to move forward. In the box it was hard for the defender to challenge me because if he touches me it could be a penalty.

“I was maybe a little lucky with the shot. I wanted to shoot quickly.

“When I saw the ball in the net I was just so happy. I am small so it is good when I play against tall players as it’s very hard for them to change direction.”

Chelsea win 2-0 against West Ham in the Monday night match and goes up to the third place in the table.

Eden Hazard was the man who gave the Blues the 3 points with a fantastic brace: the Blues now sit third in the Premier League table with 66 points, two more than Spurs ( 64, 4th) and three more than Arsenal ( 63, 5th) who have a game in hand, anyway.

Chelsea dominated the ball in the opening period, but had to wait until the 24th minute to cut West Ham open thanks to some Hazard brilliance.

In the end of the first half Gonzalo Higuain could score the second one for Chelsea after another Hazard superb playing but he hit the post.

West Ham had a couple of chances to equalise in the second part but Hazard sealed the game at 90′ with a half-volley on Barkley‘s cross.

Next game is at Anfield with leaders Liverpool on Sunday evening.

Speaking ahead of tomorrow night’s game vs BrightonChelsea’s manager Maurizio Sarri admitted Callum Hudson-Odoi could make his debut in the Blues’ starting XI in a Premier League game.

I know very well Callum, and I want him to improve more because the potential is higher. And Callum is always in my mind. In my opinion, he is our future”. Sarri explained. Now he’s ready to play. Probably he will start tomorrow or in the next match Firstly I want to see the condition of all the players. The condition of Willy, Pedro, Eden, all the wingers. But of course, he is in my mind.”.

The Italian also said he has always thought about Callum Hudson-Odoi as an important player for Chelsea: “First of all, in pre-season after four or five training sessions, I realised that Callum was really a player with a very great potential.  In my opinion, in that moment, he wasn’t ready to play at this level. But during the season, he has improved. And now he’s ready to play.” Sarri went on. “But I decided at the beginning of the season that he had to stay with us, and I put him in the squad. So I know very well Callum, and I want him to improve more because the potential is higher. And Callum is always in my mind. In my opinion, he is our future”.
