It’s Eden Hazard’s solo run and finish into the net vs Arsenal February Goal of the month according to the Premier League.

The Blues player defeated other seven goals which had been nominated to receive the award.

“It is always good to win trophies”. – Hazard said to Chelsea official website – “It is not my most important target to win Goal of the Month, I want to win big trophies at the end of the season, but it is something I can say in few years’ time to my kids that I scored a beautiful goal against Arsenal. It means a lot for the fans and for us, because it was a derby and we won the game. That is the most important thing in football, that you win the game if you score a fantastic goal, and I hope to score more goals like this.”

Former Chelsea star Pat Nevin believes Blues’ midfielder N’Golo Kante ‘has no equal as a midfield tackler’ in Premier League, especially after his performance against West Ham on Monday Night.

“One minute he was on the left wing, the next right full-back and all the while winning tackle after tackle he had no right to win – Nevin told the club’s official website – Frank Lampard was a world-class finisher from the midfield area. Eden Hazard is a world-class dribbler, Cesc a world-class passer of a football and N’Golo Kante almost certainly has no equal as a midfield tackler in the game today”.

Then he added: “In an era when tackling is a dying art and opponents are quick to throw themselves to the ground with the hint of the merest breath of wind against their bodies, getting the ball clean and coming away with it, without being penalised is particularly difficult. N’Golo Kante makes it look ridiculously easy.”

Eden Hazard revealed that he dreams to win the FA Cup with Chelsea, since this trophy is missing in his cabinet.

But between him, Chelsea and the Wembley semifinals there is a tough clash against Manchester United on Monday night:

“I am five years now with Chelsea and I never won this cup so I want it this year,” the Belgian told Chelsea official website.

“We know it is a fight against Man United every time but we did well this season when we won 4-0 at home [against them in the Premier League in October], so we hope we can do the same.”

“This season we have all reached a high level, me included.

“We are happy to play together. Last season was hard but two years ago was a great season. There are similarities with what we did two seasons ago and we want to do the same thing and get the title.

“But in England it’s never over until it’s over. You never know what’s going to happen. We will all give everything until the end to try to win the league.”

Last night, when Chelsea defeated West Ham in the London derby at the Olympic stadium it was Eden Hazard who scored the first goal, but the ball, at the beginning of the counter-attack, was intercepted by N’Golo Kante.

And now the Belgian player praises his team-mate: “I don’t need to say something about N’Golo”. – Hazard told Chelsea Tv – “Everyone knows about him. He’s everywhere. I think sometimes when I’m on the pitch I see him twice, one on the left, one on the right. I think he plays with a twin. He’s a fantastic player, he helps the team a lot.”

Eden Hazard scored a goal yesterday in Chelsea 2-1 win over West Ham at the Olympic Stadium.

The Blues forward helped Antonio Conte’s side not only to win the game but also to extend their lead in the Premier League table to 10 points.

After the London derby, former Arsenal player Sol Campbell said Hazard is already “a world class player” and he doesn’t need to move to Barcelona or Real Madrid to prove it.

Eden Hazard was one of the protagonists of Chelsea win at West Ham last night: the Belgian international opened the scoring after a thrilling counter-attack at minute 25.

It is easier for me to move inside,” said Hazard while speaking to Sky Sports after the game.

“Sometimes when I play wide I am alone. In this system we know what to do, we try to pass to each other all the time.”

Asked by Chelsea lenged Frank Lampard if they might beat the Premier League record of 95 points with which they won the title under José Mourinho in 2004/2005, the Belgian forward said they were not setting any targets other than winning the Blues’ sixth top-tier title.

“We are top and we want to stay there. We have 11 games left, and we will try to win the title as quickly as possible.”

“Tonight we played a good game, maybe not the best of the season but we scored two goals and won.”

Eden Hazard is back to top performances this season and the Belgian claims that most part of the merit is Antonio Conte’s, that gave him a better role and helped the squad to improve:

“It’s easier for me to play more inside now and link up,” Hazard claimed after the win against West Ham.

Last season I was more out wide and there I am sometimes alone, against two guys.

Antonio Conte is a great character and he helps us a lot.”

While commenting Chelsea win against West Ham on Sky Sports Blues legend Frank Lampard chose his best XI for this Premier League season.

The former midfielder explained that was particularly  impressed by one of his ex team-mates:

“I think David Luiz has matured. He was a very good player before we won the Champions League with him and Gary Cahill as centre-halves in the final but the criticism of him at that point could have been ‘can he make a mistake and does he try and over-play?’

“Since he’s been back, in a role in the middle of a back three, he has shown discipline and quality on the ball. His defensive stuff has been brilliant and I couldn’t leave him out.

“He’s probably the best centre-half in the league, for me, this season.”

This is the XI that Lampard chose:

“Why did I pick Michael Keane? I think we have to give credit to Burnley as a team and to a player who has been let go by a top team and had to go back down the ladder and prove himself.

“I’ve seen some games where he has been fantastic this year. He might not be in everyone’s team of the year – I could have picked anyone from Chelsea’s back three and didn’t want to overload with Chelsea  but you have to give respect to young English players who have made a mark in a team that are defending a lot.

“He has been outstanding. If he goes on, the big clubs will come calling.”

Chelsea star Eden Hazard revealed that the team and him want to close this Premier League title race as soon as possible, so to release the pressure and to end in the best way possible a fantastic season for the Blues:

It’s easier for me to play more inside now and link up. Last season I was more out wide and there I am sometimes alone, against two guys,” he told Sky Sports News after the win against West Ham.

Antonio Conte is a great character and he helps us a lot. We want to win the trophy as soon as possible and bring it back to Stamford Bridge.”

After the important win in the derby against West Ham tonight Chelsea boss Antonio Conte claims he trusts his players for what is remaining in this title race.

Eleven games to go and Chelsea ( 66) are keeping a ten points gap on Spurs, who sit second in the table with 56, and 11 on Manchester City ( 55) who, anyway, got a game in hand:

“West Ham started very well, you have to manage this kind of games, ” the Italian manager said in the press conference after the final whistle.

“To me, Hammers are really strong, [they got a] good coach, good players.

Don’t forget West Ham v Chelsea is a derby and these games are always difficult, we were good in managing the game in the beginning and then to score a goal and control the match.

“It was a pity to give away the clean sheet in the end of the game, like against Arsenal. It the second time it happens to us and we have to improve in this kind of situations, to keep the clean sheet is important.

“It’s not easy to play after tour rivals [ in title race] won, because you know that if you don’t win and drop points you give hope to them [for the title race].

“I am very pleased for my players, we performed very well, we controlled the game. Our defenders defended very well, especially the long balls for Carroll.

Conte was asked if now that Chelsea seem in control of the title race will have more pressure since they cannot drop points or make mistakes:

“I think this period has started, because now there are “only* 11 games, even if for me are a lot.

In this period is very important to leave the pressure away, when you play a game after your rival won the day before it’s not easy.

I am pleased for the commitment and mentality of my players, we were really compact, we didn’t give West Ham many chances to score, we controlled the game, I guess sometimes it’s better to score more when you have the chance to increase the score.

“Honestly we scored two good goals, but I guess today we created more chances to score other goals, it’s important to seal the games before, when you are winning 1-0 or 2-0 in PL anything can happen. I think if West Ham scored in minute 85 instead than 92 we could be in trouble, so this is the reason why we need to be more cynical before.

The Italian coach was also asked if he trusts his players in what is left of this title race:

“I must have confidence we don’t drop 10 points gap, we’re deserving to stay on top of the table and now that we stay there it’s important to continue to keep this position, it was important that Arsenal and Manchester United dropped points, because now the rivals [for the title] start to be less.

“I listen to the other managers and they believe they can win, it’s fair to have this ambition.

“But its’ important also for us to have this ambition and not lose it. I trust my players because they are showing me great commitment also during the week, in the training sessions, [they got] great will to work very hard, to improve, to improve our work.

Conte was asked about the importance of N’Golo Kante in this team:

“I knew that he made 50 passes and made 5 mistakes, he has to improve in this [ he jokes].

“Actually, I have to find one situation where he can improve, he’s a really good player, he’s got a great stamina but also great quality, I’m pleased for him but I think all my players performed very well.

“Now it’s important to rest tomorrow and then to start to prepare Manchester United game, FA Cup is another target for us, they are a good team, with good players and good quality.”

The Italian was also asked about the importance of Eden Hazard:

“He’s a really important player for us, great technique, great talent, he’s better when he plays btw the lines and go 1 v1 to beat his opponents and score, we got other good players that can score in counter attacks, like Pedro, Willian, Diego Costa, but also Eden can be good there. We all know how good he is.”
