Chelsea lost 3-2 in a friendly game against Real Madrid played in Michigan, USA, tonight.

After a good start for the Blues, the Champions of Europe take the lead at minute 19′ when a shot by Marcelo is deflected by Oscar.

The Brazilian full back completes his brace at minute 26 scoring after an Aina’s mistake, at minute 37 is the time of the Merengues’ youngster Mariano Diaz that scores with a great shot from the distance after an individual playing.

The second half is much more relaxed, with many youngsters on the pitch, and Chelsea can score their two goals with Eden Hazard: two identical goals with Batshuayi vertically passing the ball to his Belgian team-mate and the Chelsea number 10 that puts the ball in the net behind Yanez, the Real Madrid goalkeeper that entered to replace Casilla.

The match registered the record attendance for a Chelsea game, 105.000 spectators were present at the Michigan stadium today.

After a more than disappointing campaign last season with Chelsea, winger Eden Hazard told the British media that he wants to regain the form he had 2-years ago when he seemed unstoppable on the pitch for the Blues.

“I want to be the best, like I was two seasons ago. I said – after the season like this – I wanted to stay at Chelsea because I didn’t want to finish like this.

“We’ve got to show to everybody we are Chelsea, we’re big players, we’re a big team and we didn’t finish in a good place last season. Now we want to do better and win the Premier League. We need to do this.”

The Belgian went on to say that if he was ever to leave Stamford Bridge, he would leave as a champion.

“When I was in France [with Lille], I finished my last game with a hat-trick and that was a good time to leave. And if I must leave one day, I hope I can finish good here and be a champion again.”

Chelsea stars Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois joined their teammates on Sunday to work on preparations for the incoming season with the squad in Los Angeles.

Blues manager Antonio Conte told Chelsea’s official website “I am pleased Eden and Thibaut started to work with us. I am seeing the right attitude for them, and from all the players, this is the most important thing for me”

“Normally after a period of rest the body needs to relax, and now the players are starting to work very well, finding the right shape for the season.”

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte when asked about Eden Hazard, who was crowned Footballer of the Year in 2014-15 thanks to his great performances with the Blues, told the Mirror: “Chelsea have players who can become top, top, top players, these players with work can still improve a lot.”

“Because now we have players, fantastic players, who have great talent but in this moment the world doesn’t think they are the same level as Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Neymar, Cristiano Ronaldo or Paul Pogba.”

“But in our squad there are players who, with work, can improve a lot and reach this level. I’m sure about this.”

“It’s important that the players understand they must work to show that ‘Now I am a top player, but I want to become top, top, top, top and want to stay there”.

Then Conte added: “The mentality is important. The heart is important. Patience and the will to improve is very important. And in this case it’s important for the manager to take the best players and try to improve them”.

“It’s important for us to recover Hazard in the best condition: technique, tactical, physical, overall and with the good mentality”.

Belgium crashed out of Euro 2016 last night with a surprising 3-1 loss to Wales.

Despite obvious disappointment, Chelsea forward Eden Hazard is trying to stay positive and look to future success. He insists that the team is young enough to stay together for the next two years and compete for the World Cup in 2018.

He also talked about the good times they have had with Manager Marc Wilmots. He wanted to wish him the best for the future if he decided to step down as manager of the Belgian squad.

“We’re going to keep working with the aim of winning things in future.

“There’s a lot of pressure on him [Wilmots]. We have had him as a coach for several years. We have had some great moments with him, some super moments with him.

“Today we have had a disappointment, but I think he will have a think, he will decide later if he wants to continue with us and if not, then we will wish him luck for the future.”

Belgium have been handed a boost ahead of the quarter final clash tonight against Wales.

Eden Hazard has been given the green light to play in Lille, the place where he spent much of his time previous to joining Chelsea.

The 25-year-old took part in training but not without his thigh and knee heavily strapped. It is still not understood whether he will be in the starting 11 or whether he will be starting the game on the substitutes bench.

Chelsea and Belgium winger Eden Hazard picked up a thigh injury a few days ago in the game against Hungary in which they eased to victory 4-0.

Belgium will play Wales tomorrow night and Hazard is in doubt for the game, he hasn’t trained all week.

However, the Belgium manager Marc Wilmots insists that the medical staff are doing all they can and if he is fit, he can still play the game without any training.

“Eden is still feeling some discomfort in his thigh.

“I can’t really say how it’s going to go. The medical staff are doing their work and we’re waiting.

“Will Eden be able to play on Friday without having trained on Thursday? It’s possible.”

Chelsea could seal the deal to bring Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata to Stamford Bridge. However, he could come at a costly price.

Real Madrid have shown great interest in the Blues winger Eden Hazard and Zinedine Zidane has made his admiration public for the Belgian international.

According to the Daily Mail, the Spanish side will offer Chelsea a deal which includes £35m and Morata to ensure they get Hazard this summer.

The 25-year-old didn’t have a great season for Chelsea last year and to cash in on him while they can could be appealing to the London club.

Although, it is believed that incoming Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is ready to give Hazard a chance next season to prove himself and to regain the form he had in the previous campaign.

Chelsea winger Eden Hazard is in doubt for Belgium to play in Lille on Friday in the Euro 2016 quarter final clash against Wales.

Hazard was a big part of the Belgium side that eased past Hungary with an emphatic 4-0 victory. He managed to get himself a goal and also assisted in one. He was by far man-of-the-match. Unfortunately, he picked up a thigh injury during the game and has been unable to train since.

Belgium manager Marc Wilmots told reporters that he is unsure as to whether the 25-year-old will be fit for the important game but insists that they are doing everything they can to get him ready.

“We are working on getting him 100% fit.

“I cannot give you a specific time when that will happen, nor can I tell you that he will be OK.”
