Eden Hazard and Marcos Alonso spoke after the win against Newcastle that put Chelsea on the top of the table again, along with Liverpool and Watford.

“After them equalising everyone tought it was over but then Marcos [Alonso] found an incredible goal,” the Belgian said.

“They defended very well for most of the game, but eventually we were able to win.”

Marcos Alonso, who was again decisive after finding the winner against Arsenal last week, claimed it was a penalty on him:

“I think I touched the ball before the defender, I was between him and the ball, I guess the referee took the right decision”

“I believe we deserved these three points”.

Chelsea are top of the table with 9 points after their win at St. James’s Park today.

The Blues won the third game out of three in this start of the Premier League and are now leaders along with Liverpool and Watford, who won 2-1 against Palace today.

The clash at Newcastle was decided in the last 15 minutes: first Eden Hazard converted a penalty awarded by referee Paul Tieney for a foul on Marcos Alonso.

After ten minutes Newcastle equalised with Joselu but the goal should have been disallowed as Yedlin, who made the cross for the Spaniard, hit Olivier Giroud with an elbow on the neck before assisting.

It was the same Yedlin who deflected, two minutes later, a shot of Marcos Alonso in the net: this goal allowed Chelsea to go back to London with 3 points, enough to be top of the table again.

Still goalless at St.James’ Park between Chelsea and Newcastle United.

The Blues struggled to find an opener but went close to scoring with Eden Hazard, who was unstoppable in a tight first half. The Belgian star has been put down several times from the opponents but recovered quickly and came back on the pitch.

Newcastle’s defensive discipline is stopping Chelsea so far, despite Maurizio Sarri‘s men managed to get a 79% of ball possession at half-time. Mateo Kovacic was booked earlier in the first period.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has been speaking ahead of upcoming Premier League clash against Newcastle United at St.James’ Park.

The Italian manager was asked twice about Eden Hazard, who’s been consistently linked with a move to Real Madrid.

About the Belgian star, Sarri told journalists he’s confident the starlet won’t leave Stamford Bridge before the end of La Liga transfer market window: “I think so. Because I’m the coach of a very good team, a great club, and we cannot sell such an important player without the possibility of buying another player at the same level, so I hope Eden will stay for this season”.

“I think that Eden is ready to play for 50 or 60 minutes, I don’t know about 90 minutes, but he can start. I am happy with him if he wants to play. I think it’s the right way to think for him but I have to think for everybody”.

Hazard was crucial in providing assists for Pedro and Marcos Alonso respectively against Huddersfield Town and Arsenal so far.

The Times reveals Chelsea star Eden Hazard will stay at Stamford Bridge to one condition: to be guaranteed regular Champions League football.
The Blues failed to qualify for the top European competition last campaign and will play in Europa League this season, but Hazard won’t stand not playing Champions League for two years in a row, so if Chelsea will fail to reach Premier League top four again he will move elsewhere, probably to Real Madrid, who have been waiting for him for over two years.

The same report claims Hazard is mulling over a new £300,000-a-week contract ahead of the expiration of his current deal in 2020 but he remains keen on a move to La Liga giants Real Madrid or FC Barcelona in the future.

Hazard recently ruled out an imminent move to Spain, claiming he is happy at Chelsea, but  didn’t commit to the Blues for life, confirming that a transfer could be possible in the near future.

Speaking to Tribal FootballChelsea star Eden Hazard has praised his team-mate N’golo Kante.

“We are lucky to have Kanté here on our team. He is intelligent off the field and on the field. We could see this in the first match”. Hazard said.

The French midfielder scored Chelsea’s first goal of the 2018-2019 Premier League campaign and Eden Hazard is now willing to teach him how to score more goals this season.  “He had not played in that position yet but after twenty minutes, he scored”. the Belgian star went on. “If he wants, I’m always there to show him even if I’m not a great finisher either but I think I’m a little better than him anyway.”

He has been on the transfer market rumours for at least two years, but Eden Hazard reveals he won’t move from Stamford Bridge at the moment as he is happy at Chelsea:

“I’m fine here. We’ll see what happens in a year or two,” he told RMC Sport.

“Leave this year? I will not leave. Everybody knows what I said after the World Cup, but I’m happy here.”

The Premier League and Football League voted to shut the transfer window before the start of the English top-flight season, which kicked off on 10 August.

However, the change did not affect most of the European clubs expect Italian ones, as the transfer window there closed last Friday, who can still sign players – including Premier League ones – until their respective deadlines later in the month:

“The transfer window in England is over. Clubs cannot sign players,” said Hazard.

“It would be a little odd if they sell me now while they can’t recruit a replacement.”

Hazard, who has won five major trophies since joining Chelsea in summer 2012, added he could see that “the fans still love me” from the reception he received during the Blues’ 3-2 win over Arsenal yesterday.

The winger still has two years to run on the five-year contract he signed with the Blues back in February 2015.

Speaking after the 3-2 win against Arsenal in his first Premier League derby Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri explained why he didn’t start Eden Hazard against the Gunners.

The Italian coach preferred Willian instead:

“It’s clear. He is a great player,” Sarri started when asked about Hazard.

“But I think that, at this moment, he’s not able to play for 90 minutes, so I thought it was better to give him 25-30 minutes when the intensity of the match has come down.

“But I think, I hope, that in one week, maximum two weeks, he’ll be able to play the whole game.”

Chelsea faced Arsenal in their second Premier League clash of the season. Maurizio Sarri, speaking ahead of his first London derby as the Blues’ manager, confirmed he was looking forward to getting underway.

Chelsea scored twice in the first half as Pedro and Alvaro Morata were clever both to exploit their chances, with Arsenal struggling to score despite three massive efforts missed from a close range by Mesut Ozil, Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan earlier in the period.

The Blues failed to keep their double advantage as Unai Emery‘s men bounced back with two goals in the 37th and 41st minute in a vivid first half. Lucas Torreira replaces Granit Xhaka, who ha been shown a yellow card, while Maurizio Sarri made his first two changes by putting on Hazard and Kovacic respectively for Willian and Barkley.

The Belgian star swept past Lacazette before assisting in the six-yard box Marcos Alonso, who fires home for 3-2. Chelsea earn their second win in a row, the first one at Stamford Bridge also for the newly-appointed Italian manager. Five goals were scored in a dramatic London derby.
