In the last few weeks, Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has been linked with a move in the January transfer window as Ac Milan have showed interest in signing the Spaniard.

Now, Fabregas himself confirms he can soon leave Stamford Bridge or, at least reach a deal with another club:

We have a good squad with a lot of valuable players. I’m at Stamford Bridge and I’m happy, but it’s clear that every player wants to play more”. Fabregas told Football Italia. “I haven’t talked to anyone, but it’s obvious that if I haven’t signed a renewal then I can do a deal with someone from January and will probably attract a lot of clubs. Will I stay until the end of the season? For now I can say yes.”

During his pre-match press conference, Chelsea’s manager Maurizio Sarri reacted to N’Golo Kante contract extension with the London club.

N’Golo for us is not an important player, he is a determined player and I am very happy for him. It is very good news for us. I know that David said something about him, that he doesn’t want to pay the bill in the restaurant, but he is a very professional player on the pitch and off it”. Sarri explained. “He is very important defensively, but he can score more and he can improve in the final 25 metres of the pitch”.

Now, the Italian manager hopes also another Chelsea star, Eden Hazard, could sign a new contract with the Blues: “I don’t know the movement of the contract”. Sarri admitted. “He is doing very well, he played on Sunday so was with us on Tuesday. But I hope we can do [a new contract], I hope so”.

Real Madrid loanee Mateo Kovacic is enjoying is time with Chelsea and, speaking to Spanish newspaper Marca while on international duty with Croatia he explains the reasons of his move to the London club during the last summer transfer window.

I wanted to be happy and at Chelsea I am,” Kovacic said. “I just wanted to be happy and play matches, feel a responsibility within the team and I’ve found that at Chelsea.  This is not the time to talk about anything other than playing and enjoying. I don’t want to think about what will happen and do want to be happy doing what I like, which is to play football every week”.

Belgian star Eden Hazard has been linked many times with a possible move to Real Madrid.

However, in the last few days the player himself claimed he would be happy also to stay at Stamford Bridge for his entire career.

“I can finish with Chelsea,” Hazard said. No problem at all. I am very happy with this club, with the team, my family is happy here. So If I don’t go to Spain, it is not a problem. I love the fans – I think the fans love me! What happens in the future, I will be happy, so that’s it.”

He has been on the transfer market rumours for at least two years, but Eden Hazard reveals he won’t move from Stamford Bridge at the moment as he is happy at Chelsea:

“I’m fine here. We’ll see what happens in a year or two,” he told RMC Sport.

“Leave this year? I will not leave. Everybody knows what I said after the World Cup, but I’m happy here.”

The Premier League and Football League voted to shut the transfer window before the start of the English top-flight season, which kicked off on 10 August.

However, the change did not affect most of the European clubs expect Italian ones, as the transfer window there closed last Friday, who can still sign players – including Premier League ones – until their respective deadlines later in the month:

“The transfer window in England is over. Clubs cannot sign players,” said Hazard.

“It would be a little odd if they sell me now while they can’t recruit a replacement.”

Hazard, who has won five major trophies since joining Chelsea in summer 2012, added he could see that “the fans still love me” from the reception he received during the Blues’ 3-2 win over Arsenal yesterday.

The winger still has two years to run on the five-year contract he signed with the Blues back in February 2015.

Chelsea have almost lost all their chances to qualify for the next Champions League with Wednesday’s draw vs Huddersfield Town at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues, however, can still win the Fa Cup, but in any case, Antonio Conte believes this is a good season for him and his team:

I’m very happy. I’m very happy for last season. I’m very happy for this season. You learn in this job. If you are clever you continue to learn and improve yourself, to try and be better in the future.” Conte said during his pre-game press conference. It’s a great experience, we had two hard seasons, this season and last, but a fantastic season for me. It’s OK. I think this league is great, is the toughest league in the world. To compete in this league, with so many teams and so many clubs very strong, it’s always a great chance you have”.

As the Premier League is the toughest league in the world, Conte has always been aware of the chance of finishing out of the top-four:

You must know that there is this possibility because you play in a strong league. For this reason, you have to know this and prepare in the right way”. Conte explained. “There are six top teams at the start of the season ready to fight for a place in the Champions League. It can happen. In the past, it happened the same. Don’t forget two years ago, Chelsea ended the season 10th and not in the FA Cup final, not in the semifinals of the Carabao Cup, and they were eliminated in the last 16 against PSG in the Champions League. It can happen.”

Speaking to Telefoot, Chelsea star Eden Hazard said he is happy in London at the moment, but also that anything in football could happen and, most of all, that he will change club only when he will decide to do so himself.

I still have two-and-a-half years left on my contract”. Hazard said. “I am very well there. The fans love me, my family enjoys life over here. We will see. In football anything can happen. But in football nothing can happen too. Every year they talk about Real or PSG. And when I want to change clubs, I will. But at the moment I’m good where I am.”

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is aware a difficult period is beginning both for him and for his team: the Blues have to play a lot of game during the Christmas period and then the January transfer window will soon open.

Chelsea’s coach would like to improve his team during this period, but only if he and the club will find the right players and the right “occasions”: “I’m very happy to work with these players. At the same time, if there is the possibility to improve our squad, I think the club will try to do this”. – Conte said – “A difficult period is starting, especially for every club, for every coach. In this period there are a lot of rumours. I think the best way for me is not to read [anything] and then to try to improve our squad if this is possible. If, I repeat, this is possible”.

While on international duty with BelgiumChelsea star Eden Hazard has once again pointed out his admiration for Real Madrid‘s manager Zinedine Zidane.

Everyone knows the respect I have for the man” – Hazard told RTL – “For the player he was and for the coach he is, he was my idol. Of course I don’t know what will happen in my career in the future, but to play under him would be a dream. It wouldn’t bother me to play under Jose Mourinho again. At this time, though, I’m happy at Chelsea. I still have a lot of things to do at Chelsea, and I’m focused on Chelsea.”

First reactions from Chelsea boss Antonio Conte after the important win at King Power Stadium this afternoon.

The Italian manager looked, of course, very pleased after beating Leicester City 2-1 away:

“We must be delighted because we had a good performance,” said Conte.

“We played very well. We were in total control and could have scored more goals.”

Jamie Vardy scored for the Foxes on penalty with 30 minutes to go, putting pressure on Chelsea in the last part of the game:

“After the penalty it changed the situation.

“They tried to push but despite this we had chances to improve the score. It is a good result and a good performance.

“After the international break it is not easy.

“I am happy for N’Golo Kante. He performed very well but this is not news,” Conte said about the French midfielder, who scored the winner.
