Swansea boss Paul Clement hopes to keep his star, Fernando Llorente, despite Chelsea interest in this January transfer window:

“He played very well today,” the ex Chelsea and Ancelotti assistant  said of the striker, whose brace at Anfield took his tally to seven in the last ten league games.

“Am I afraid to lose him? I want to keep him here and the reason I want to keep him here is what he showed today.

“I think his performance was very good. The first time I was involved in this team was Crystal Palace and he showed all the qualities he had in that game.

“If you get the right kind of service into him he is a goalscorer but you have to give him service.”

Atletico Madrid star Yannick Ferreira Carrasco‘s agent revealed that Manchester United and Chelsea would have placed a couple of stunning € 86m ( £ 70m) offers for his player.

Christophe Henrotay has also explained that he has notified the Spanish giants of these offers and that there is also interest from Bayern Munich, Juventus and Manchester City.

According to Sportsmail Chelsea turned down a £ 10m offer from Bournemouth for their second goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.

The Blues didn’t consider the bid satisfying, as they aim to obtain £ 12m from the Bosnian stopper.

Furthermore,  Chelsea will not let Begovic go though without having a suitable replacement as they pursue for a league and cup double.

Their third goalkeeper, 34-year-old Portugal international Eduardo Carvalho,  has yet to make a first team appearance and would like another in place before selling Begovic, who didn’t have much playing time this season but was an important substitute for Thibaut Courtois last year when the Belgian was out for almost four months with an ankle injury.

Photos emerged of Diego Costa training on his own at Cobham today, as the Spanish striker is trying to recover from his back problem that made him skip the clash at Leicester last Saturday.

Anyway, these pictures are add further fuel to fire as the ex Atletico Madrid forward allegedly received a super offer from a couple of Chinese Super League sides, Tianjin Quanjian and Jiangsu Suning, that seemed to distract him, leading also to a bust-up with manager Antonio Conte and a fitness coach.

It’s also reported that Costa will discuss his future with the Blues boss in a personal meeting tomorrow.

Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth claims Diego Costa and Antonio Conte will meet tomorrow to decide over the Spanish striker’s future.

It’s understood that the Chelsea striker has been offered £600,000-a-week to join Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning, a different offer from the Tianjin Quanjian’s one of last week.

Another Blues legend, moved to Jiangsu Suning one year ago, when the Chinese club offered £ 25m to Chelsea for the Brazilian midifielder. The owners are the same that bought Inter Milan last summer and that aim to bring the former Mourinho‘s side to European glory.

“We are told he will be meeting head coach Antonio Conte tomorrow to discuss his future at the club,” Sheth told Sky Sports.

“It’s thought Costa is using a £30m offer from China as leverage to get a better contract at Chelsea. One source claims he’s after £300,000-a-week,” the Sky Sports journalist concluded.

Suning are also keen to offer £ 80m to Chelsea to close the deal and Costa’s agent Jorge Mendes is told be already in China to discuss the offer.

The news broke tonight and it’s sensational: Diego Costa has not been selected by Chelsea boss Antonio Conte for Leicester City away clash and behind this there could be a transfer market reason.

It’s understood that the Spanish striker did not train fully with the rest of the squad during the week, claiming himself he was going through low back pain.

But, apparently, this could just ax excuse, because the real reason for Costa’s behaviour would be a monster offer from a Chinese Super League side that the player and his entourage are taking into consideration in these days.

Sources from England and Italy are claiming that part of the Brazilian-born-striker staff are in China to discuss another record move with Tianjin Quanjian, that are ready to place a £80m bid on the Spaniard and to offer a £ 30m-per-year-deal to the player.

It’s also reported that Conte and Costa frequently argued during past week over the matter, with the Italian manager yelling to Diego during a bust-up ” Go to China!” as Sky Sport Italia reports.

The ex Juventus boss also didn’t like the fact that Costa apparently faked an injury to not take part to group trainings during the past week, where Costa trained most of the time alone, this is the reason why also a fitness coach was involved in the bust-up, since the coach was claiming Costa had no back issues.

Chelsea refused to comment the news.

Chelsea are confident they can land Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu next summer as the Bundesliga giants look reluctant to let him go in January.

The Turkey playmaker scored 5 goals this season and his side will face Atletico Madrid in the last-16 of Champions League.

Also Manchester United and Barcelona are said to be interested in the 22-year-old, who is contracted at Stamford Bridge until June 2019.

Anyway Calhanoglu could join Chelsea even in January, should the Blues place a £30m bid, according to The Sun.

Chelsea are interested in West Ham versatile midfielder Michail Antonio, according to reports in the London Evening Standard.

Anyway, the report suggested that the Hammers are reluctant to sell the 26-year-old in the January transfer window and won’t accept any bid for the former Nottingham Forest star, who joined the London team on a £7m move in the summer of 2015.

It is understood Antonio Conte appreciates players with stamina and versatility, with Victor Moses who became a key player of his squad this season.

Antonio’s ownership is still uncertain as West Ham are reportedly not interested in selling the England international, who recently signed a four-year deal to stay at the Olympic Stadium.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte, speaking after FA Cup clash against Peterborough, told journalists: “My club knows my opinion about transfer market. In January it’s not easy. In this window it’s very difficult to find great players but we are seeing if we are able to find the opportunity to improve this team”.

“We will continue with these players, – Conte added – Ake is coming back and Kenedy and Musonda are working with us. It’s important for me to evaluate this profile and make the best decision”.

“We are at the top of the table with this squad and I’m grateful to my players for this. If we find the opportunity to improve the squad, we will do it, but I’m very happy to work with this group of players”.
