The fans of Chelsea football club are plotting a walk-out during their last 2 games of the Premier League season in protest to the non-renewal of captain John Terry‘s contract.

Terry‘s Chelsea career came to the worst possible ending after seeing the red card in stoppage time in the game with Sunderland at the weekend. Therefore, Terry will miss his own farewell party if Chelsea insist on letting the Blues legend leave.

The Chelsea supporters are hoping that the protest will hit home to the directors of the club showing them how much the fans think of the former England international and how much they believe he deserves a contract extension.

Following the final whistle, Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink revealed he is “sad” for John Terry, while insisting the decision to send him off was “impulsive”.

“John Terry was a double yellow, I think it was a little bit over the top the decision,” Hiddink said about the incident.

He told SkySports: “It has been an intense game, It was a very intense game. For Sunderland it was a must-win game, for us it was a would-like-to-win game.”

“We started very well in the first half and we got an easy leading and could have scored at least one more. Then we have reacted well scoring the 2-1 just before half time.”

“The Sunderland crowd was unconditional for their team, I think the team got very encouraged with this help.

“In the second half we have at least one or two open chances with Diego Costa. They got a lot of energy they produced the win.”

“We invited them into the game, we could have scored the 3-1 but we didn’t do it and then they felt still the opportunity to come back.”

“I cannot blame the attitude of the team, even if we were a bit sloppy in materializing the match was encouraging”

“We started in December being in the same position as Sunderland and then we managed to get out of that zone. At this stage we tried to play for our pride.

“Of course I would have liked that we would have reached better positions, but this is not our case.”
